I had the opportunity to check out a new version of the Husan Arms Shotgun MKA1919.

The concept isn’t new, but if you haven’t seen one before, think of it as a “beefed-up” AR15, shooting 12 gauge.

The model name of the shotgun pictured is MKAHMFR1203.

As configured in the pictures the list price is around 1,100 USD, but this could vary depending on where you live so use it as a rough guidance only.

TFB covered the MKA1919 already in 2012.

Actually, it looks like the Turks now have back-engineered the solutions from Firebird Precision and Tooth & Nail Armory, but this is speculation from my side.

I used to have an Akdal MKA1919 with a lot of custom parts, but it’s one of the few firearms I’ve ever sold (don’t ask).

The “MKA1919” is a gas operated, semi-automatic shotgun. It uses a conventional gas operated action which is located around the support tube that runs below the barrel. The return spring is also located around the same support tube, which is concealed by an enlarged handguard. The barrel can easily be removed from the upper receiver.

The upgrades and improvements include amibidextrius safety, extended bolt release, steel floating feed ramp, two gas rings (heavy loads and light loads), metal front sight, sidecharge handguard, and an easy take down system.

The upper receiver is manufactured from aluminum while the lower receiver, pistol grip, and stock are manufactured as one piece from polymer. On the upper receiver there’s an integral Picatinny rail which will accept a detachable carrying handle or other optical sight attachments like a red dot.
