The Seventh Day Of TFB Christmas: CQB Optics

On the seventh day of Christmas (which in our timeline was yesterday), TFB brings you a taste of the broad category of what I am calling CQB Optics – glass that can be used from zero to a few hundred yards. Shooters often consider red dots optics to be for close range targets, but with the right dot size and proper technique, hits can be made out to 300 yards reliably. Over the past few years, variable power scopes with true/near 1X magnifications at the low end and up to 8X on the high end have become popular with competition, military, law enforcement and defensive shooters alike. Technological advancements have brought weight down and reduced the overall footprint on the gun while increasing optical clarity.

Prices, manufacturers, models and features run the gamut, so do me a favor and chime in with your preferences IN CQB Optics in the comments section below.

    CQB Optics:

Crafted with the 3-gun and serious hunter in mind, this is an optic that feels as much at home on the AR platform as it does on your favorite bolt-action rifle. The EOTech Speed Ring reticle allows for fast target engagement at low power, but at higher power provides the resolution and accuracy required to tackle longer shots. The Vudu 1-6x is the perfect solution for short to medium range applications that require the highest level of durability and accuracy.
