Browning’s New X-Bolt Pro Rifle Line

    X-Bolt Pro

Earlier this year, Browning introduced a new X-Bolt Pro rifle that it is calling a semi-custom production gun. These rifles have, according to Browning, improved construction and features as compared to the existing X-Bolt line of bolt action firearms.

The new Browning rifles are available chambered for nine different cartridges. They are listed below along with the barrel length for each.

    • 6.5 Creedmoor (22 in.)
    • .30 Win (22 in.)
    • .30-06 Sprg (22 in.)
    • 300 Win Mag (26 in.)
    • 28 Nosler (26 in.)
    • 300 WSM (23 in.)
    • 26 Nosler (22 in.)
    • 7mm Rem Mag (26 in.)
    • 270 Win (22 in.)

These rifles have a new stock design that uses a 360˚ carbon fiber wrap with a compressed foam core. According to the company, this combines excellent rigidity while still being very light. The gripping areas are textured and the entire stock is finished with the Cerakote process.

Also treated with the Cerakote finish is the stainless steel receiver. It is drilled and tapped for X-Loxk scope mounts. The bolt is spiral fluted and the bolt knob is oversized and fluted.

Barrels are fluted with a sporter profile. According to the company, it uses a proprietary lapping process that improves accuracy and reduces fouling. It is, of course, free floated.

These guns have a suggested retail price of $1,999.99 to $2,069.99 depending on caliber. Your local gun shop may sell them for cheaper.
