Backpack Shotguns from Midland Arms Company

    Midland Backpack Shotgun

Midland Arms Company announced a new line of break open, single shot shotguns. Called the Backpack, Midland is offering five versions of the gun now and promises compatibility with other products the company will be releasing in the near future.

Three different chamberings are available now: 12 gauge, 20 gauge and .410 bore. The 12 gauge models can be had with 18.5″, 24″ or 26″ barrels. The 20 gauge only has a 26″ barrel option while the .410 is limited to an 18.5″ long barrel. According to the information provided on these guns, the barrels should be easy to swap out. I would expect to see other options available if customers express enough interest.

The company states that these shotguns are made with forged steel receivers and deep hole drilled barrels. Midland states the guns were designed for young, active shooters and are not made with “inferior metals and cheap finishes.

Midland uses a weatherproof stock that allows for storage of a survival kit or other gear in it. Barrels are compatible with Beretta chokes and a modified choke is included with the guns. Sling swivel studs are blued and made of steel.

The Backpack name comes from the gun’s ability to fold in half. This allows it to be transported in a backpack or other bag. Pricing starts at $149.95.
