We recently had a look at the updated Kalashnikovs, the AK-100M Series, with a set of unique pictures.

Todays Photo is a customized AK-105 in 5,45х39 mm.

“Kalashnikov assault rifle AK105 meets all of the Land Forces’ and Special Forces’ needs. Having the same caliber, the AK105 differs from the AK74M in shortened barrel and flash hider.”

The photo is from JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) at Interpolitex 2017.

As you can see the magazine is windowed, but is noticeably different from the the previous one we’ve seen on the AK-105M.

The flash hider is gone and replaced by a large “pepper box” compensator.

There’s some kind of laser pointer or flash light on the bottom rails, as well as a vertical grip.

The vertical grip is mounted on what possibly could be an aftermarket picatinny handguard (unknown to me), in metal by the looks of it.

At first I thought it was a “pistol”, but the buttstock is actually folded.

There’s a white triangled patch insignia on the plate carrier, but I don’t know where the unit could possibly belong. Do you?
