Another New Semi-Auto Air Pistol from HatsanUSA: The Sortie

    HatsanUSA Sortie

If you are looking for a high quality airgun in pistol form, HatsanUSA has a new offering that might be of interest. The new Sortie is a semi-automatic air pistol that is available in .177, .22 and .25 caliber.

The guns use 14-round rotary magazines for the .177 caliber guns. For the .22 and .25 caliber pistols, the magazines hold 12 and 10 projectiles respectively. Regardless of caliber, three magazines are included with each gun.

HatsanUSA designed the gun with a refillable 62cc air cylinder and system that allows for up to 28 shots – two 14-round magazines – at an optimal pressure. Of course, environmental factors and other variables can affect the precise number of shots at the time and place of shooting.

The barrel is rifled and shrouded. On top there is a Weaver rail for attachment of an optic. TruGlo sights are included standard on the pistol.

This is the company’s second semi-automatic air pistol announcement in as many months. In September, HatsanUSA introduced the Riptor. The Riptor is a lower priced option for shooters looking for fun at a reasonable price.

HatsanUSA offers high quality airguns, and as with any quality product, you will pay more for the benefits. The suggested retail price of the Sortie is $699.99.

I know many people will complain that this exceeds the price of many centerfire pistols. However, airguns have a different place in the shooting world. Hobbyists, hunters and competitors in the air driven projectile world are certainly entitled to top tier guns also.
