Jam Mags With The Magpacker Speed Loader

One of these days I am actually going to break down and buy a magazine speed loader. The concept is simple enough: line up your rounds so that they can be pushed in one effortless motion into a waiting magazine. Makes perfect sense. But I do have a weird feeling that it would sit unused in a dusty corner of the gun room while my thumbs do all the work. The Magpacker speed loader is the latest product on the market offering shooters a break from the time it takes to jam mags.

In any event, carbine courses, full auto owners and shooters with arthritis can definitely benefit from a loading assistance device. Pricing runs from $49.99 to $79.99 with many host weapon and caliber combinations available. Additional details and links below.

I’m glad to see things like this moving into saner price territory. Most of them are just hilariously overpriced.

still decently pricey but thats what a US product costs these days. Massive overhead…

Gee looks familiar. Almost like I have one, but the name is Podavach loader.

I remember as a kid sitting in front of the TV loading mag after steel mag of my dads 5.56 reloads until I had blisters.
I would have killed for something like this.

Little fingers also sort coal better…

My dads philosophy was if you want to play you had to work.
His idea of a funny joke for my birthday one year was giving me his penny bucket as a present which was about ten gallons along with a sack of rollers.
Took me about two weeks to roll them all but I ended up with a couple hundred bucks.

Sounds like a pretty good dad.

Same with my dad, other than the Vietnam part. He served in the Corps during that era, but was stationed elsewhere.

    Wizardry!!!

I bought my M&P 15 Sport during a bonus sale. It came with a Caldwell MagCharger. I’ve never used it. Stripper clips and a spoon take up less space away from the bench.

I probably wouldn’t use the word ‘jam’… kind of has a universal, negative connotation for gun owners.

I have one these wooden behemoths. It is heavy and bulky. By the time you get all the rounds lined up, you could have already loaded half the mag by hand. Taking it to the range is out of the question. I like the Maglula loader unloader much better. It clips to the top of the magazine and you can load the rounds as fast as you can pick them up. If for some reason I need to unload a mag, takes about 10 seconds for a 30 round mag.
