I had a good chuckle when Mike B. shared this with me. Someone has added magazine extensions on the Remington Tac14 and the Mossberg Shockwave. It is silly but totally functional. Just for laughs I have tried adding a 9+ rd magazine tube extension to an 18.5″ barreled H&R shotgun. My friend dubbed it the Narwhal.

Contrary to some thinking, these setups work. Sure the tubes get hit with muzzle blast residue but that is it. Even with bird shot, the shot does not touch the magazine tube.

I don’t know if I would use such a long tube extension on a Tac-14 or a Shockwave. If I were to go all out I think an Xrail would be better. Go big or go home. In all seriousness, a +1 or +2 round extension would not be terrible on the Tac-14 or Shockwave. Of course the best thing is to fill it up with those Aguila Mini Shells to double the capacity without any modifications.
