Sako TRG 22 “Finland 100” Limited Edition Sniper Rifle

Collector alert!

Finnish Sako, now part of the Beretta Group, is making a limited and numbered edition of the Sako TRG 22 “Finland 100” sniper rifle.

You can have any color and caliber you like, as long as you accept “white camouflage” and “.308 Win.”

Some of these rifles will be available on the open market, but Sako is retaining part of the series for charity auctions and similar events.

The TRG 22 “Finland 100” jubilee model is offered in .308 Win caliber. The white snow camouflage coloring of the stock and barrelled action of this real collector’s item reflects the severity of the Finnish winter, and, also pays homage to the heroes of the Winter War.

The Sako TRG 22 “Finland 100” sniper rifle has the text “Finland 100”, and the gun’s serial number is laser-engraved on its frame. The rifle is packaged in a carry case with a jubilee knife with the same engravings as the rifle itself. The jubilee model also comes with two magazines, bipod, muzzle brake and removable open sights.

A picatinny rail for attaching a riflescope is optionally installed on the system housing. The TRG 22 “Finland 100” has an open sight with a ring front sight. A conspicuous muzzle brake is installed to reduce recoil.

Below: The jubilee knife.

As the owner of an AR-15 in white duracoated urban digital flange I can tell you that it looks rather nice, but if you – like me – dislike cleaning then look for another color.

However, I suspect that most of these collector’s rifles won’t see either dirt nor much use.

Update: According to rumors from Suomi Finland the price is 6 800 €uros.

  • Haulin’ Oats

I don’t even live where it snows and some how my inner apple isniper wants one of these nice guns. How much are they?

    • m-dasher

well a regular Sako TRG22 is about $3K……..for a limited edition, with all the kit…..i wouldnt be surprised to see these hit close to $10K

  • iksnilol

Uhm… 308? DO I LOOK LIKE A PLEB TO YOU!?

    DAMN YOU, SAKO!

    • Haulin’ Oats

There’s nothing a little cerakote cannot fix. 6.5 creedmoor is an option for the TRG-22; just not the version in arctic white camo.

    • jonp

I believe the orginal M91 like used by Simo had a .308 bullet so it’s kinda an homage

      • iksnilol

        SIMO HAD NO CHOICE, OKAY!?

HE WAS POOR AND ALONE AND FREEZING AND HUNGRY AND ARMED ONLY WITH A MOSINKA, OKAY!? YOU DON’T KILL 700 RUSSIANS BECAUSE LIFE’S DANDY, GOSH DARN IT ALL TO HECK, THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY, WE CAN USE THE SUPERIOR 120 YEAR OLD CARTRIDGE!

        • jonp

You need to take a chill pill, hoss.

          • iksnilol

            LEAVE SIMO ALONE!

          • jonp

Who are you arguing with? Simo has been a hero of mine since I discovered the nearly forgotten Winter War as a kid. He is a perfect example, like Alvin York, of average men doing extraordinary things when they have to.

          • iksnilol

I was joking, thought it was kinda obvious.

          • jonp

I have no sense of humor, lol

  • Jeff Smith

Building a “sniper rifle” with iron sights?

Ok, Finland – now you’re just bragging.

    • MeaCulpa

Could you imagine this rifle with a white Schmit und Bender scope and a white silencer, that would be soooooo epic. Sako, arrange it!

    • iksnilol

Why sniper rifle in quotes? It’s a legit sniper rifle.

  • MeaCulpa

Finland 100 is a reference to Finland celebrating 100 years of independence, so even if I – as a Swede – appreciate them using Finland’s second language Swedish* why not your own language when celebrating your independence?

*It could be English as well but any such suggestions and I shall not listen.

    • iksnilol

Probably aiming for the export market.

  • Giolli Joker

    It kinda looks gorgeous.

By the way the knife is an Extrema Ratio (of Italy) neck knife straight from their catalogue, just with the Finland 100 laser engraving added. Odd choice considering the finnish tradition of hunting knives and the fact that in cold winters the last thing you’d want to touch is a plain piece of steel.

    • Raven

Should’ve gone with a really nice puuko.

  • Suomi

Its like opening a CS GO case! Here’s a ultra rare “White Death” knife with your winter camo AWP.

  • Anomanom

I’ve seen trg-42s for a hair under 5k in the shop.

  • Bloody Bucket

I taken top marksman in almost a dozen sniper/long range rifle classes I’ve been in with my SAKO TRG 22. That rifle makes me look good (second round hit, 1120 meters, State Dept DDM, for example). Only thing this is missing is a vile of soil from Simo’s gravesite. I really need this. Italian knife, though, I hate Beretta.
