Greener Whaling Harpoon Gun

If you remember Spielberg’s masterpiece Jaws, Robert Shaw played Quint the seasoned shark hunter. He used a Greener Whaling harpoon gun in the movie.

Here is a video of a guy showing off his Greener Whaling harpoon gun. The Greener harpoon gun uses a martini action and they made a lot of 12 ga shotguns with the same action.

Here is a scene from Jaws where Quint gets the harpoon gun out.

If that’s the case…”you’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

I want a cadet sized greener falling block pistol in like 357. To me falling or rolling block is a bit cooler than break action.

    • Dougscamo

Way cooler! But being a rifle man….you know what I mean….

  • 22winmag

Much cooler than the grenade launcher and knife articles. Those things have some kick.

Very interesting, I love Jaws, so it’s great to see this.
I was at Holt’s Auction house a few years ago and they had a Schmidt Rubin line throwing gun with a rather snazzy gold coloured plated finish, another cool bit of kit.
