The First Modified P10C And When You Can Buy One

CZ-USA has announced that the new CZ Striker gun, the P10C, has just landed on US shores as of yesterday evening. This means that in just a few short days they will be on their way to dealers all over the US. Expect them to be rather hard to find, but they will be out there (likely with a premium price attached) for you to pick up.

After doing the TFB TV video on the CZ-USA on the P10 C I called by buddy Zach at CZ and asked what the fate of my pistol was going to be once I sent it back. The P10C that I have sitting in my safe is a pre-production prototype that is close to what the consumer version is going to be, but not exactly. Since CZ doesn’t want any of these guns out in the wild due to some internal changes in the interest of safety, my gun was going to be destroyed as soon as it got back into CZ’s hands.

I asked Zach if he minded if I had the P10C modified a bit since it was going to be destroyed anyhow and he said that he didn’t mind as long as I sent him back a complete pistol, well at least the serial number plate.

I called my friend Tom at TXT Custom Gun Works and asked him if he wanted to be the first in the nation to stipple a P10C to which he replied “Hell yeah!” I dropped the gun off at his shop along with a bribe and let him work his magic.

Below is the result of a caffeine and nicotine fueled all-nighter on the P10 C with Tom’s stippling gear and a Rush mixtape. Pretty damn good looking if you ask me. Not only did Tom remove all of the stupid pointy things that made the grip feel squarely mediocre, but he also somehow made the gun even more grippy while being more comfortable against bare skin.

You can read my review of Tom’s excellent polymer stipple work on my Glock 19 and Glock 43 by clicking the following link: TXT Custom Gun Works Review

You can find more information about the CZ P10 C on the CZ-USA website and TXT Custom Gunworks can be found on their website as well.

And it looks way better too.

It really does. The P10C is a bit of an ugly duckling when compared with the rest of the CZ lineup, but this stipple job makes it look much better. I might have to send mine in to have it done.

I think he said that P10 C jobs are going to run about $300 due to the polymer being much more dense and requiring more work than a Glock.

Not as sexy as my all-metal Elite Match hammer gun with all the Hennings parts.

    But looks great for poly!

  • TechnoTriticale

    Nice discrete watermark work.

Thank ya sir. I think I could have done better but was editing the photos while waiting to board a plane on my laptop. Not exactly ideal.

      • Sunshine_Shooter

Really? I thought it was really good work as-is.

The letters dont follow the contour of the pistol as well as I would like.

  • James Earl Jones

Looking forward to seeing longslide phantom iterations of this pistol.

  • Drew Coleman

    That actually looks awesome.

Modifying your guns while listening to Rush…?

    • Patrick R. – Senior Writer

      Thank god someone caught it.

Such a shame it has to be destroyed.

  • Independent George

Aww man. My YouTube link to Krieger got bounced by the Nanny.

    ETA: Never mind…

  • Moondo

Patrick, how about a head to head comparison video between this and the 509?

      Seriously, this.

Not until I get a production version. It wouldn’t be right to compare a pre-production gun to a production gun.

  • QuadGMoto

Oh great, now you have me wanting one with that custom stippling. I officially hate you, Patrick. 😉

That is awesome work by TXT Custom Gun Works!

  • JumpIf NotZero

IF ONLY CZ would have made it modular…

I prefer not to have anything ‘attached’ to my pistols. I have a flashlight on my hip when it is dark, and don’t need a laser.
