One Iraqi with a Bulletproof Skull

With the incessant combat and similar propaganda efforts from ISIS, there have certainly been a few interesting videos showing the chaos, chance, depravity, and sometimes humor of troops in combat. In the latter vein with a drop of chance, is one fortunate Iraqi.

There is hard-headed and then there is this guy. In a video published through one of ISIS, various propaganda outlets show a sniper’s view of two combatants on a ridge. Normally, these types of videos end badly, but in this case, the trace round shows it incoming and then outgoing – bouncing off the skull of one of the targets.

While the other recognizes the situation and rectifies his lack of cover in quick order, the first target is visibly¬†(and understandably) stunned and after bending over for a moment is subjected to a follow-up shot… which misses. The thick-skulled combatant then dives for cover and the video ends.

Such things happen in war and with the advent of small handheld and personal cameras, I suspect we will be seeing more of them in the future. I, for one, am happy the hapless fellow was not killed and certainly hope the idiot sniper using tracers was traced back to his hole and engaged successfully.
