Wilson Combat Adds 6.5 Creedmoor Models

6.5 Creedmoor Wilson Combat

The march of the 6.5 Creedmoor continues. The latest company to expand its catalog with new 6.5 Creedmoor guns is Wilson Combat.

Wilson Combat announced it would now offers the Recon Tactical and Super Sniper rifles in 6.5 Creedmoor. These AR-10 style rifles are currently offered in .308 Win and .338 Federal.

Recon Tactical

As described by the company, the Recon Tactical is the company’s concept of what an all-around 6.5 Creedmoor gun should be. The company identifies it as being suitable for hunting, tactical training and as an all-purpose gun. It uses a match grade, medium weight barrel that can be had in 16″, 18″ and 20″ lengths.

This rifle comes with many of the normal Wilson Combat trimmings such as a 14″ TRIM rail, Rogers Super-Stoc and a four pound, single stage Wilson Combat Tactical Trigger Unit.

The suggested retail price of the Recon Tactical is $2,995. The fluted version starts at $3,045.

Super Sniper

6.5CM-Super-Sniper

Wilson Combat describes this gun as “the ultimate semi-automatic sharpshooting platform.”  It is built for long range accuracy and has a button rifled 416-R stainless steel barrel in either 22″ or 24″. It has a 1:8″ twist. As with the Recon Tactical, the gun is equipped with the TRIM rail, Super-Stoc and four pound Wilson Combat trigger.

The base price of the Super Sniper is $3,145.

I doubt even Wilson understands why people pay that much for their pistols.

      • Beju

Random cheapskate like me: People pay that much for your 1911s… Why?
        Wilson Combat: ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    Hello beautiful what’da doing Saturday?

  • Reality

“the ultimate semi-automatic sharpshooting platform” what a joke

    • ostiariusalpha

      With a button-rifled barrel. ?

      • Reality

With 6.5 Creedmore. Sure its better than .308 etc, but FAR from “ultimate”.

      • criterionbarrels

You’d be surprised what button rifled barrels can be capable of…

  • Benelli

    Is that mag in backwards?

    • Patrick

It looks like it, but luckily the magwell is idiot proof and shouldn’t allow that. Perhaps this is a baseplate added to the mag that creates the illusion of it being backwards.

A SOT should make a belt fed in 6.5CM. Run it and see if anyone salutes.

  • Scot168

Nice looking rifle and would like to have one but until my cat drags home $3000.00 instead of a dead squirrel, seems like I’ll have to do without.
