Vorn Equipment Fast Access Rifle Backpack

Vorn Equipment has an interesting quick release for their rifle backpacks.

The backpack holds the rifle behind the right shoulder. You simply pull the orange release ring-pull on the left shoulder and it opens the rifle compartment.

They offer an assortment of backpacks of varying sizes starting at $229 for the smallest 7 Liter pack up t $329 for a 42 Liter pack. They also offer these packs in Realtree Camo.

It looks like a great alternative to a rifle sling or you could keep a sling in the pack in case you don’t need to keep the pack on you and you just want to move freely without the pack.

Seems like a really nice addition to one’s hiking equipment! To people who like to pack larger firearms, such as myself, this could prove to be a great improvement over wearing a slinged firearm concomitantly with a regular ruck.

I’ve been eagerly waiting to find one of these in real life, here in the US. The only down side for me is that it may not be ideal for larger rifles like my AI AX.

Dude, get real. The AI AX is made for assassinations. You don’t carry that slung. Disassemble into a briefcase.

Good god, you might have the dough but you seem like a rookie to me.

        You got me. Total noob.

        • iksnilol

Yup, only noobs use the AWP.

I kinda Jerry rigged up something like this with a pack I picked up from wal-mart and a couple quick release plastic buckles. It might not be as pertty as this con-trap-shone, But @ under $30 it works great for me. I kick the snot outta my gear so I have a hard time spendin’ serious coin on something I’ll likely kill in a short period of time.

    Neat

    I wonder how AR-15s fit?

It would be nice to have links to the product in the story!

I like that it keeps the gun out of the user’s way but deploys so quickly. It’d be pretty good on a mountain bike.
Another approach is the kifaru gun bearer. It puts the gun a bit more in front of you which has good and bad points https://store.kifaru.net/mobile/universal-gun-bearers-p197.aspx

nice rig. I can see applications for wildland firefighters too for keeping that axe out of the way when you are running a saw etc.

Perfect, would love something like this for my unit. If they had a something in the 60 or 70 liter range it would be perfect.
