CoolTubz 3D AR Handguards

Before you start roasting me for posting yet another AR-15 handguard option on the market, hear me out. Most of the options made by Cooltubz may not be my style, but they certainly are unique. I’ve aways been a fan of the MP5SD look, and on an SBR AR the “Operator” model may work quite nicely.

The other Zombie Hunter and Infidel models might go well on a custom build for plinking, display or just all round fun. Again, not my style, but I could see how they might fit into someone else’s collection.

Prices start at $189 and models are available in variety of lengths. All made in the USA.

Cooltubz 3D Handguards:

CoolTubz™ are the ultimate 3D Free Float Handguards for YOUR AR-15

Operator, the name pretty much sums up your skills, and puts the fear of God in your enemies. Glove up and fight. You’re the best in the world at close-quarter combat and you know it. Always practicing your musical “double tap” rhythmic notes on your AR.

Our Operator model has classic super grip styling, with minimal embellishment, and is available in 4 different lengths to accommodate any platform.

Glove up and get a grip with our Operator 3D AR-15 Handguard.

CoolTubz™ Stunning 3D Designs

Our CoolTubz™ designs are illustrated exclusively for us by one of the top graphic illustrators in the world. Hundreds of hours are spent on each design to get them looking exactly right for your AR-15.

We then take that design, spend a couple of hundred more hours, convert it to 3D, machine a mold, and turn it into the most detailed, 3D molded, AR-15 handguard EVER produced.

We’ve got a CoolTubz™ just for you!

We are enthusiasts too, and take your needs seriously. We’ve incorporated into the CoolTubz™ great features such as:

  • A super stiff, ultra lightweight, twill weave, carbon fiber tube, built with a high temperature epoxy matrix over a mandrel.
  • Designs are over-molded in a super hard high temp polymer, hard as a hardhat
  • No seam or mold parting lines to spoil the artwork
  • True 360 degree design
  • Threaded aluminum mounting system, black anodized
  • Aluminum finished end cap trim, black anodized
  • Molded in Picatinny rail to mount your accessories
  • Internal aluminum heat shield
  • Large ID, 1.81″/46mm to accommodate any suppressor
  • Available in 5 lengths for any AR-15, M4, AR10 rifle, carbine, or pistol
  • Mounts on a standard 47MM barrel nut.
  • These weigh just OUNCES but don’t sacrifice and strength or rigidity

  • Major Tom

Roast the infidel! Roast him good!

Too bad the handguards don’t fit on other rifles. They might look good on other platforms.

  • Moonman46

wheres the “NotoriousIUD” to tell us how “””Islamaphobic””” the infidel handguards are?

  • Fuddly

Can I order these and my custom dust cover from the Sportsman’s Guide?

I need one for my RRA Elite Operator II, as I only operate with the best in today’s demanding tactical scenarios.

  • Bigg Bunyon

Goth operators will buy these by the ton. The company should market a set of “operator embellishments” as a [ridiculously] high extra cost option: black fingernail polish, black camo paste, black lip gloss and etc. I suggest “Tactighoul” as the product line name.

  • If you have to have “operator” stamped on your equipment, then you aren’t one.

  • “CoolTubz” is both the product and the market.

  • Sgt. Stedenko

    TFB has jumped the shark.
Might as well start reviewing airsoft guns and UTG/Leapers accessories.

    • thedonn007

There is nothing wrong with UTG/Leapers accessories.

      • M-dasher

Your right……they are great………if you never actually run your gear hard.

Actually train with them, and they fall apart

      • Hellbilly

Seriously? UTG stands for Utter Total Garbage for a reason.

        • Klaus Von Schmitto

A UTG Pro hand guard, properly installed, will hold up as well as any other sub 250 dollar hand guard.

      The good with the bad.

    • Blake

I don’t think you know what that phrase means. It doesn’t apply in the least here; TFB isn’t even close to being short on article topics and this is a gun part. Plus, I don’t know if you’re aware of this, their job isn’t to only write about parts they think are cool or “good” – it’s to be a comprehensive gun news site. When did people just start trying to cram terms and sayings into situations whether they fit or not?

  • TheNotoriousIUD

    That is ugly AF.
I mean Kelly Ann Conway wearing crocs in a Pontiac Aztek on the way to a toilet fire ugly.

    • jamezb

Aztecs are oddball, but they aren’t Kelly Conway ugly… Honestly I hated them too until I actually sat down in one.

      • TheNotoriousIUD

        You sicken me.

        • jamezb

when you are as tall as I am, and can get into and out of a car without hitting your head, and sit inside without your head against the headliner, you come to appreciate such things.

          • TheNotoriousIUD

            Truly, your people have suffered.

          • QuadGMoto

Have you seen the video from The Grand Tour of Jeremy Clarkson trying to get into an Aston Martin Vulcan? That kind of puts regular cars into prospective.

    • koolhed

That ain’t that ugly… But Debbie “Blabbermouth” Shultz, wearing a bedazzled pink pussyhat, squeezing into a Smart Car on her way to a San Francisco GLBT nude protest… now THAT’S FUGLY.

      • TheNotoriousIUD

Aztek lovers coming out of the woodwork. Scary.

    • Brett

Well, time to clean up the orange juice I just spit all over this Keyboard.

  • thedonn007

I want the CF tube, without the “tube cover”

  • MrBrassporkchop

2nd one looks like something from War Hammer 40k. Pair it with that dumb lower with a huge skull on the magwell.

  • iksnilol

    “minimal embellishment” For real ?

    • TheNotoriousIUD

So subtle you barely notice it.

  • USMC03Vet

Imma let you finish but those hand guards are the most gaudy hand guards of all time. Of all time!

    • Pete – TFB Writer

      And… you’re welcome.

  • nate

I sometimes get a feeling TFB is bad to show stuff like this

    • nate

      sorry meant paid not bad

      • Pete – TFB Writer

Sometimes you get news about awesome stuff, sometimes you get this. None of it’s paid advertising

    • Never————–

  • Jay

Oh look! Someone invented a pipe.

    • jamezb

THAT’S what they look like…. BONGS!!!

  • ACC

I agree that most all of these are FUGLY, and even though it has the word “operator” on the side, I am thinking that my Glock mag AR-9 might look nice with that operator handguard on it with a GM-9 suppressor under it

  • clampdown

Surprised they didn’t put out a “Deplorable” model…I’m sure that will come soon.

  • B. Young

one these would be cool with just plain old M203 HANDGAURD RIBS

  • Cymond

Apparently, they have 8 Likes on Facebook.
