HK MP7 in Pagani Zonda at F1 Bahrain

These pictures (below) are almost 10 years old, but I hope the readers of this blog can help me figure out if the Heckler & Koch MP7 was real or fake.

The background is, I was in Bahrain to see the new Ruf Automobile (Porsche tuner) factory and their new model CTR 3. The Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix was going on at the same time, where Michael Schumacher and other famous drivers have won.

Just outside the Formula 1 race track, on the parking lot, I found the formidable Argentinian-Italian supercar Pagani Zonda.

As you can see, it’s a very special looking car, designed by Mr. Horacio Pagani, and there aren’t too many around (to say the least).

The interesting thing was that when I approached the Zonda I discovered a HK MP7 on the passenger side, laying on the floor, clearly visible.

With some Photoshopping I managed to reduce the reflections in the window and get a better look at the MP7. I love that carbon fiber and leather interior.

Unedited image

The Pagani Zonda most likely belonged to someone in the Royal Family.

As I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life in prison I thought it be safer to go and watch the race instead.

Air show during the Formula 1.

So the question is – was this a real HK MP7? Or an Airsoft version?

Did a bodyguard leave it during the Formula 1 race?

I would expect the rate of crime to be very low in Bahrain.

I would hazard to guess that given the circumstances it most likely wasn’t airsoft. In fact, I’d hazard to guess also that there isn’t anyone in the world that owns a Zonda and plays airsoft.

Bahrain has had a few issues in the recent past including civil strife which seems to have at its core a significant Shiite population ruled by a Sunni royal family.

      • USMC03Vet

Yup and the failed attempt of iranian backed shiites to overthrow the Sunni rulers in Bahrain during the Arab spring set the Saudis in motion to retaliate and kick off the Syrian “civil” war and the creation of Isis which was initially US and joint Saudi funded.

        • Joseph Smith

You mean Obama funded. Not a single real America can support what that traitor did.

          • Lee

            Except the Illuminati…….tin foil hats…..

          • Blake

I’d love to hear what I’m sure will be a highly logical and thoroughly thought-out explanation for exactly how Obama funded ISIS.

          • Sheeple shepherd

Because Barack Obama supported through words/ speeches and funded the Arab spring through CIA operations. 10X worse than nation building under Bush.. They supported the overthow of these dictatorships in MANY middle eastern countries. All of which are on this immigration ban list. You see the “free Syrian army” was always just a bunch of jihadis. They have always been ISIS.. Barack Obama also actively made Russia our enemy when they are our ally in the war on Islamic terrorism. You should start reading the real news not just TFB

That is a good comment. Amazing that we have people that deny what is going on without doing the research.

          • Core

Unfortunately the mainstream media won’t report anything that conflicts with their puppet masters..

          • RICH

We have all seen what the Liberal run ‘main stream media’ is all about during the Presidential election. Trump hit it on the head when he referred to the media as ‘LIARS’ !

          • Core

That’s putting it mildly. I believe we need to do something about the media, they are out of control. They need to adhere to ethics in journalism or GTFO of the business.

          • RICH

Obummer also supplied small arms, rockets & cash to Syria….!

          • valorius

Well there is no doubt that when Obama pulled our troops out of Iraq, ISIS filled the power vacuum. So it is very accurate to say that Obama ‘created’ ISIS.

          • Blake

Since you apparently can’t tell the fundamental difference between “funded” and “created” I’ll just ignore that for now. But I’d love to hear just how you think the math works since ISIS was formed in 1999.

          • valorius

I was obviously speaking to a different, but related point. ISIS was a “JV Team” non starter until Obama created the massive power vacuum which ISIS rapidly expanded into when our troops were pre-maturely pulled out.

  • No one

Hell, nevermind the gun, I’m far more interested in that slick car.

    • Quest

How does it compare to the Lamborghini Hyper Carbonado (1720ps)?

      • Mmmtacos

Best I can do is Top Gear test track Power Times with an Aventador LP700-4 (series 17 ca 2011) against a Zonda Roadster F (series 12 ca 2008):

        01:15.8 vs 01:18.4 respectively…

      • Adam Zeroński

Lambo what? no such thing exists

  • Arie Heath

Yeah, I would say that’s real. Especially since the car belonged to the royal family

    • pvw20

And given what happens to thieves in Arab countries (de-handing) I’m sure the owner wasn’t worried about it being lifted.

      • Giolli Joker

If you’re not worried about leaving about 600+k$ car in a public parking, probably you’re not concerned about what you left inside as well.

        • valorius

It probably has laminated ‘bullet resistant’ windows.

  • Cody Becker

My associate in the German police force says it looks real to him.

    • Peter (BE)

Softairs are made to look real. The high end stuff would be impossible to distinguish without having a very close look or handling them.

  • SP mclaughlin

I don’t think they were worried about thieves, moreso about extremist assassins.

  • madsd

The car gets the chicks attention, but the mp7 seals the deal.

    • concerned citizen

Naw. In my experience, a nice car will impress guys. If you want to grab a chicks’ attention, get a dog.

      • John Swinkels

yea right so i married one.anymore good advice.

      • valorius

A ladies man can pick up a hot chick in a smashed up ford pinto.

  • Anonymoose

When you’ve got money to blow on a supercar, you can probably buy whatever other fun toys you want too.

  • Giolli Joker

Horacio Pagani is Argentinian, but the company and the cars are fully Italian.
(Well the engine comes from AMG so there’s more Germany than Argentina there…)

  • pallam

Should have a holster for that weapon in the car.
Also Bahrain looks like the home of a super villain cause it’s an island nation state connected to the land via one bridge. Only way they stealing that car is by flight cause saudi/bahrain airforce probably sucks.

  • Charlie Victor Alpha

I’m thinking Bahraini royalty probably don’t play with airsoft toys.

  • Emperius

Who cares if it was the owner’s or some bodyguard. How the heck can you have a firearm in a country that has everything banned? Or is this a case of unfair monarch preference over the citizenry? Nice pics.

    • J.T.

Unfair monarch preference over the citizenry.

    • Edeco

Bans are only for little people. Something 21st century Carrie-A-Nations should realize. They can’t tell me it’s egalitarian or pacifist, it’s not, it’s elitist and violent.

  • guest

Ah, Bahrain. The country that had real peaceful protests (not the “peaceful” armed ones), to which other Gulf monarchies responded by sending in troops and killing the protesters, and to which Obama said that it was “not the right time” to help that archaic monarchy to become a democracy.

  • John Swinkels

Go Trump after you get America sorted out can you do Australia next we are so F up also.
and while your at it will some body please pull down that fence around the white house with all those islamic symbols or no one knows about it.

  • B Realio

I may be wrong but i believe I read an article a few years back that stated the MP7 was contracted out to several Asian countries for domestic production. Not that this would explain what it is doing in Bahrain.

  • valorius

    Must be nice…

  • Hank Seiter

Probably real. A member of the royal family who owns a Zonda is not going to have an airsoft MP7 laying on the floorboard of his super car. I doubt he has a Class III restriction to worry about in that part of the world.

  • Wes Bielinski

That car is wasted in Bahrain, run out of road before you even get to fifth gear. 🙂

  • Adam Zeroński

RUF is a car manufacturer, NOT a “Porsche tuner”
