Lethal Lace | SHOT 2017

One interesting product that I saw during the 2017 SHOT Show was the Universal Lethal Lace Holster, from Lethal Lace. The Universal Lethal Lace Holster is the brain child of Tessa Renaud, a health care professional, who had a hard time finding a concealment system that would work with her medical scrubs. The Universal Lethal Lace holster, features an integrated holster that includes a small pad, as well as a length of fabric and a clip. To use the Lethal Lace holster, an end user simply places the pistol in the holster. Places the pistol against the body where it is to be secured and wraps the holster to the body. At the end of the fabric is a small clip that is used to secure the overall assembly.

The Unisex non lace universal holster. This holster is 92 inches long and has 2 holsters. One is used to secure a firearm, and the other is for an extra magazine or flashlight. The material is very strong and will not lose its elasticity over time.

The product comes in several colors and is available for men and women. The owners of the company were manning their booth at SHOT and were very nice. Great product. Looks like a very comfortable way to secure a pistol.

This is the “feminine model”. It has the same features as the uni sex model pictured above.

amusingly simple idea no one but movies have done so far I guess.
still pretty good as long as it doesn’t fall etc. Would be good for other flat tools too i guess, like a small sheathed fix blade maybe.

granted at this point i’m just remembering a book that did this with duct tape

Can’t figure out how they would EVER make a business out of this. The number of women even interested in shooting is very small. (single digits of the population). The number of women who carry a gun every day (concealed) has to be even more infinitesimal. The number of women who carry every day (concealed) and not in LE etc. AND who want to be wrapped up like a mummy has to be close to ZERO!

    • Joshua

clearly someone isn’t watching the news very closely, women interested in shooting and CCW has already doubled since Trump’s victory was announced and doesn’t seem to be slowing.

also, upon seeing this particular product my fiancee was very interested.

      • Hem90

The surge in women shooters predates Trump by quite a bit…

        • Thomas Gomez

          True!

      • Phillip Cooper

Actually it doubled long before Trump’s victory. Nice try, though.

Perhaps you are living under a rock, but women represent the fastest growing segment of the Industry. In my experience for every guy that carries, so does his significant other. I sense a slight hint of misogyny in your post. You need to know that off, or we will ban you.

      • Suppressed

I don’t agree with the guy’s post at all and I do agree with yours, right up til the end where you threatened to ban someone because you “sensed a slight hint of misogyny”.

I realize that for numerous reasons we can’t tolerate misogyny on this blog or anywhere in this industry, but that guy underestimating the number of female concealed carriers doesn’t really show a dislike or contempt for women.

      • m-dasher

wow dude….we get it…..your an mod on an internet blog……you must feel like a badass

      • Fox Hunter

WTH?? is the firearm blog a libturd controled blog now, are you going to ban people too for opposing the rainbow flag freaks or the muzzies? stop pandering to the libturds, they can never be appeased. nothing except total capitulation will ever please them, so dont even try. and besides the he didnt sound misogynist, he said nothing bad about women. stop watching liberal mainstream tv.

        • Phillip Cooper

Learn to punctuate, capitalize, NOT generalize, and avoid using the language of 15-year-old “activists”.

        • Thomas Gomez

I am not pandering to anybody. From his comment he appeared naive, or at least ill informed. We all appear to be clear on how we feel. I have more female friends that carry concealed then their male counterparts. I don’t watch the mainstream media.

      • Graham2

Oh dear, I’m no fan of misogyny, sexism or racism (without being a libtard!) but Cal.Bar wasn’t being misogynystic at all! If he said something like, ‘silly women should stay out of gun ranges and get back into the kitchen where they belong’- now that would belittle women and you could call him out for being a misogynist. By the way, seeing as you seem overly sensitive, I don’t actually believe what I just typed regarding women getting back to the kitchen- I was making a point. Cal.Bar was simply stating that he couldn’t see much of a demand for this rather niche product and I have to say, obviously fearful of being banned from this usually fantastic forum, I tend to agree with him. It doesn’t actually look all that secure.

      • Cal.Bar

No misogyny. Just facts. Women make up a growing (yet very very small) percentage of the shooting population as a whole. (right?)
CCW holders in most every state are measured in the single digits of the total population with the vast majority of those being male. (RIGHT?) Combine VERY small numbers and you still have a very small number. If they hit a home run with the product – god bless them. (please introduce us to the woman (or women) who use an ace bandage to strap a gun under their armpit every day)

    • jerry young

Where do you live? the numbers are growing by leaps and bounds! we teach CCW and nearly 75% of our students are women, this has very little to do with Trump but more with the conditions created over the last 8 years by Obama, that’s why they call it concealed you don’t realize how many people actually carry, as far as the lace holster I agree but to each her own cause I can’t see a man wearing a lace holster

    • Bigg Bunyon

Nothing like knowing and understanding the numbers you’re referencing. And your statement about the number of women interested in shooting is nothing like knowing and understanding of those numbers.

It’s like a Belly Band met a Sarong and had babies.

  • Phillip Cooper

I’d be willing to try it for a leg holster, but I don’t think it would be very useful.

  • RetroG

Women wear more form fitting clothes than men do, frequently that don’t lend themselves to wearing belts, so I think a lot of women (and some men) would be interested in this product.

As for women not wearing clothes or underclothes, that are as tight as a mummy, you obviously haven’t been paying attention to women’s fashion.
