    Airline approved?

The Baker Batshield is a cool piece of kit, this I’m not so sure about.

They guy need to learn to tuck his elbow in or it’ll get shot.

Holy crap. How long until equipment like this becomes popular for teams clearing buildings? I know shields have been around for a while but to my knowledge they’ve always suffered from either not being able to stop more than pistol ammunition or being to heavy to carry and requiring a wheeled platform. Something like this would be a game changer for protection, since it looks like the only way to disable the person behind it that’s available to most people is shooting them in the legs with a rifle or the legs below the knees with a pistol/shotgun. I wonder how much something like this costs.

Unfortunately, he can’t see anything going on in front of him unless he blades himself to one side or the other losing the protection of his shield. The height of the cuts prevent him from using the sights on his rifle or effectively aligning the sights on his side arm.

There probably eventually going to use an “AR” Pistol. Because I really can’t see “Schlepping” a ~24-pound Ballistic Shield everywhere…

This would also be pretty effective for home defense as well, and unlike a barricaded door, it’s portable.
