5.11 Tactical has never shied away from the women’s market, and to their credit they have done an awful lot more than add a few “girl colors” to their lineup and call it good.

The new Wyldcat Pant is designed for everyday wear and everyday carry. Like many of the latest offerings from 5.11, the stylish Wyldcat is totally tactical without looking tactical, making it a great choice for a wide range of activities with or without firearms. You’ll have to look closely to see that these pants are definitely more than meets the eye.

As noted previously, the Defender-Flex Pant add denim jeans to the tactical-but-not-so-obvious wardrobe for women. In addition to the ladies-only code red, the women’s line of Defender-Flex is available in stone, volcanic, and thyme. Between the Wyldcat and the Defender-Flex, women have great options that maximize performance when carrying as well as emphasizing style and fashion without sacrificing the tactical function that professionals and private citizens need to be able to rely on.

Another of the products in the new women’s line-up that caught my eye was the Taclite M-65 Jacket.

This modern take on the classic M65 military jacket features a trim women’s cut, ample storage and concealed carry options, and satin lining for comfort. Though definitely not a casual civilian look, the M-65 Jacket is a real head-turner. I saw several of them being worn at the show and they look great.

I like this stuff. If you want something tactical for daily wear then it shouldn’t look tacticool and this does that fairly okay, it just looks sporty.

They could stand to make broader sizes in the women lineup. Will hope for it someday.
