Industry Day at the Range | SHOT 2017

The Firearm Blog was very productive day at the SHOT 2017 Industry Range Day. Below are some photo highlights of the day, as well as some interesting and innovative products!

SHOT 2017 Industry Day at the Range

THE FIX from Q. The latest creation from evil genius Kevin Brittingham, former owner of Advanced Armament Corporation. Awesome rifle.

The Honey Badger from Q. Q has put some more R&D into the rifle and it is currently available from Q.

The Howa Chassis Rifle atop CruxOrd’s new tripod mount. Great setup.

The TRIAD scope mount from iota Outdoors. The mounts have a small piece of metal that indexes the mount perfectly on a MIL-STD1913/Picatinny rail. Very innovate product.

iota Outdoors has a full suite of very innovative products.

Bergara Long Range rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Holding 1.5 mils for wind, I had no problems hitting steel at 960 yards. That was done with hot brass from the adjacent STEN raining down upon me.

Predator Warpaint sunscreen and the M-550 PRO BUG OUT FRAG.

Aimpoint 3XC magnifier. Features rear diopter adjustments and is available for around $300.

My favorite part of Industry Day is the long range area. There were some fancy rifles present.

The ZEUS shooting mat from Hartman Industries. Perfect for training a new shooter correct body position when shooting a carbine rifle.

This was the first time this new shooter had shot an Ar-15. She was hitting steel at 100 yards within several rounds. Pretty neat to see.

The US Corrections Special Operations Group was present to show off hardware and some of their K9’s. Fellow writer Tom R will be doing an article on this. The capabilities of the dogs was absolutely amazing.
