Brown Safe, a “luxury” safe company, has within the last year started to get into the tactical firearms market. Rather than dipping their toes into the market with a single offering, Brown has gone whole-hog with the option of no less than 5 safes, including a rather interesting double-doors model, ranging from 10 guns to 44 guns.

Like other safe manufacturers, Brown sells the safes in custom configurations. Options abound including, but not limited to:

• Various interior configurations
• Adding fire protection (noted they are serious about it, adding it adds 5″ around the safe in all dimensions – rated 1700 F for 90 minutes.
• Glass plate relocking device
• Silent signaling with interface to alarm or home automation systems.
• Molle panels
• Entry methods
• External storage
• Colors
• LED Lights
• Picatinny Rails
• Etc.

Perhaps most interesting is the “Tactical Elite” package which updates the safe with not just steel for protection from theft, but from ballistic threats as well. By the company’s video, the safes will take .50 BMG.

All these fancy options come a steep price. The safes start at around $3,000 with the double-doored option starting price clocking in at over $8,000. The options are not cheap either. For example, the molle panel on the large safe is over $2,000! For those curious on the Tactical Elite option on the big boy, it runs over $16,000.

Basically, if you have to ask, you can’t afford them. Still, it’s always fun to play around with the configurator on their site and see what could be with a lucky lottery ticket.
