Merry Christmas, from The Firearm Blog!

A period illustration of the 1914 Christmas Truce, showing German and British soldiers exchanging cigarettes, hats, and other gifts. The Christmas Truces in 1914 has become a powerful symbol of the spirit of the holiday, and of voluntary peacemaking by front line troops in what was unarguably the most terrible conflict in history up to that point. The festival of Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, lord and savior in the Christian religion. More than that, though, the holiday has come to symbolize peace on earth and goodwill towards the people of all the religions and nations on Earth, regardless of belief. In these cold winter months, we remember that peace and brotherhood can flourish in imperfect men, no matter how dark the night may get.

We at TFB want to wish all of our readers a very merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. Spend this day with your family and friends, and we’ll see you tomorrow!
