The good people at Volquartsen Firearms are teasing a new version of their sleek Scorpion rimfire pistol. Chambered in .22 Magnum and featuring a unique barrel style, the new Scorpion appears to share some of the same features as the current Volquartsen pistols.
Details are slim at the moment, but we are promised more information in the lead up to the 2017 SHOT Show in about four weeks. Check back with TFB as we have reached out to the man himself, Scott Volquartsen for additionl pictures, information and pricing.

Current Volquartsen .22LR Scorpion Specs:
The Scorpion is the ultimate lightweight target pistol! Our LLV has been combined with our lightweight VC Target Frame to create a very lightweight and extremely accurate 22 LR. We also include our Competition Bolt as a standard item.
Scorpion pistol weighs under 2lbs!
The Scorpion pistol is available with a silver or black frame in two configurations – a Target 22 frame or a 1911 style frame. Several grip options are also available: Volthane Target Grips (Target 22 style only), Laminated Wood Target Grips (Target 22 style only), Aluminum Grips or the Hogue Monogrip.
The standard configuration on the Scorpion comes threaded 1/2X28 with thread protector. There is also a non-threaded option available.
- 4.5” or 6” barrel length available
- Stainless steel barrel
- Black is Type III hard anodized
- Silver is NP3Plus Coated
- Open model comes standard with a 4.5” barrel and compensator.
- Limited model comes standard with a 6” barrel, Hi-Viz Front and Target Rear Sight
- Accessory rail in add on options refers to rail that mounts to bottom of pistol
