    Faxon Muzzle Devices

Faxon Firearms announced a pair of new muzzle devices that are available immediately. They are the Gunner and the Flame.

    Gunner

The Gunner is a three port muzzle brake that the company designed to combine recoil reduction with usability. According to the company, the three ports combine to reduce felt recoil by more than 50% regardless of barrel length.

Made of “gun barrel quality” steel, the Gunner has a QPQ salt bath nitride finish and weighs 2.9 ounces with the MuzzLok Nut. Its total length with the nut is 2.4″.

The Gunner is made for .223/5.56 caliber guns and has a 1/2″-28 thread pattern. The suggested retail price is $59.99.

Faxon states the brake is legal for use in IDPA, USPSA and 3-Gun Nation competitions.

    Flame

Flame seemsĀ like an odd name for a flash suppressor, but that is the intended use of this three pronged muzzle device. According to Faxon, the device “virtually eliminates muzzle flash from any barrel lengths.” As with the Gunner, the Flame is made of gun barrel steel and has a salt bath nitride finish.

Also like the Gunner, this device is designed for the .223 caliber and has the standard 1/2″-28 thread pitch. With the company’s MuzzLok, the Flame weighs about 3.4 ounces and is 2.6″ long. The MSRP is $59.99 for this one as well.
