My friend Brian M. told me about this gun. I am not a long distance shooter but the thought of amateurishly trying it does sound appealing to me. For a while I have wanted a Ruger Precision Rifle after getting a chance to shoot one out to 600 yards thanks to my friend Jim. So when Brian mentioned that the Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmore can not only get out to 1k yards but it can go a mile, I was intrigued. Even more so by the price tag. In this video below, ADudeAndSomeGuns keeps saying the gun is $350. From my brief internet search I have not found it to be that cheap. Ruger lists the Model 6973 at an MSRP of $529. My friend Brian recently found one local to him very lightly used at $399. Still this is a very budget friendly gun.

Yes Savage Axis II offers a 6.5 Creedmore gun for even less. I have not seen a video review of someone using it for long range like ADudeAndSomeGuns. However I have a feeling it may perform similarly though. There is a feature though on the Ruger that eeks it more alluring than the Savage and that is the factory threaded barrel. I like using muzzle brakes and suppressors and not having to remove the Predator barrel to get threaded is appealing.
