New Trijicon Products

    Trijicon

As to be expected, Trijicon will introduce a number of new products at the 2017 SHOT Show. These new products include a variety of scopes, optics and pistol sights.

    Trijicon HD XR Night Sights

The new Trijicon HD XR Night Sights are similar to the existing HD Night Sights, but with a thinner front sight (0.122″) that is designed to allow “a larger field of view which further enhances the ability to identify targets, expedite engagements, and see location of hits on target at longer distances.”

The front sight combines a tritium vial with a bright circle of photoluminescent paint to make it easy to see in a wide range of lighting conditions. The rear sight has a pair of tritium vials with no paint outline. Additionally, the rear sight is hooked on its leading eade for increased ease of single handed manipulation of the slide.

    Thermal Scopes

As I mentioned previously, Trijicon acquired a thermal imaging company which gave the company a path toward a wider range of optical solutions. Trijicon will introduce a number of thermal optics in 2017 including the IR-HUNTER, REAP-IR, IR-PATROL and SNIPE-IR. These optics use a 640×480 60 Hz sensor. Presumably, there will be variations between the products, but it sounds like Trijicon will machine and assemble these in the US to milspec standards. I suspect the sensors will be made in Asia.
