Meopta Releases New ZD 6-24×56 RD Riflescope with MIL Turrets

Ah… SHOT Show must be coming quickly. Writers can sniff it from about a month away as Press Releases and new product launches are now fast and quick. Latest up is Meopta, with their launch of the ZD 6-24x RD Riflescope with MIL Turrets. The new scope is the latest release from the “introductory” MOA model with 1/4 MOA adjustments.

The scope is designed for long-range precision shots. Adjustment clocks in at 1/10 MILs with 83 mils of windage adjustment and 42 mils of elevation. Parallax is adjustable from 27 yards to infinity. Eye relief is solid ranging from 3.5 inches at minimum magnification to 3.1 inches at maximum.

The new scope comes replete with the plethora of proprietary features. In this case, the scope has the MeoBright lens multi-coatings that “eliminate glare and reflections and deliver 99.7 percent light transmission per lens surface.” Next up is the MeoQuick, a fast-focus eyepiece for quickly bringing targets into focus. Finally, we have the MeoShield “ion-assisted coating (which) protects external lens surfaces for enhanced resistance to scratching and abrasion in extreme conditions.” Basically, the MeoSheild meets mil-spec for durability and surface hardness (which is quite difficult for those paying attention at home).

The scope is primarily constructed from a single piece of anodized aluminum. As with most high-end optics, the scope is rated as waterproof, shockproof (recoil), and fogproof. A welcome feature is Meopta’s lifetime transferable warranty. Pretty dang good for $2,184.99 retail.
