[NightForce 2016] ATACR 7-35×56 F1 Coming to Market

Nightforce has been extremely successful with their ATACR line of rugged, long range rifle scopes, among numerous groups of shooters in the PRS sport community and just the precision rifle community in general. However, with their new 7-35 power magnification in the First Focal Plane with ED glass, the company is looking to expand the long range market with their latest optic.

Currently, Nightforce has a number of options within the product catalog that go or are similar to the magnification range of the ATACR 7-35, such as the NXS 8-32, the Competition 15-55, and Precision Benchrest 8-32. However, many of these scopes are built for very specific shooters such as F-Class competition and Benchrest. Both of which can afford to have heavier scopes, and do not require the use of a First Focal Plane that a Mil/LE/PSR shooter would want. Instead the scopes use Second Focal Planes. In addition, the ATACR 7-35 gives a shooter a lower power setting than most at 7x magnification than any of the aforementioned scopes, while at the same time offering a higher 35x magnification power than any current rugged, light, and long range scope. In fact, the ATACR beats Nightforce’s own ultimate offering, the B.E.A.S.T, with a 5-25 magnification power.

In addition, the scope will over 100 MOA clicks of elevation travel on the turret, ideal for working at extreme long range.

The scope is going to be officially released at SHOT 2017, with an expected MSRP of $3,600-$4,000.
