Berger announced on the 1st of the month their introduction of 3 new bullets into the Classic Hunter line. The Classic Hunter bullet from Berger, for those who are not familiar, is meant to be a highly accurate reloading tip that effectively feeds from a magazine. It also stays in line with SAAMI specifications for a wide range of rifles.
The bullet offerings overlap common hunting calibers such as .243 Winchester, .270 Winchester, 7mm-08 Remington, 7mm Remington Magnum, .308 Winchester, and .30-06 Springfield.
The new Classic Hunter bullets will cover more popular calibers like 6.5 Creedmoor and expand upon others currently stocked. The new bullet offerings can be seen below:
If you are still wondering what makes this bullet a better choice than many others on the market, Berger does a good job of explaining the nitty-gritty:
Classic Hunter ballistic coefficients (BC’s) exceed other market offerings due to the unique ogive properties provided by our innovative hybrid-shaped bullet nose. The hybrid design combines the best of both tangent and secant ogive features, resulting in optimal ballistic performance with less sensitivity to bullet seating depth. Easy to load and shoot, the Classic Hunter Series include Berger match-grade quality materials and award-winning results.
If you are looking for a premium alternative to what you are currently reloading for hunting this may be worth a shot. Berger always develops bullets with a high BC and these were designed to put meat in the freezer.
