DeSantis Gunhide announced that its two popular pocket holsters, the Nemesis and the Super Fly, are now available for the micro Glock pistols fitted with the Streamlight TLR-6.

The Nemesis may be the most popular pocket holster on the market. It is very reasonably priced and provides a very good carry experience. I own several of them myself, and have carried a range of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols in them for years.

These holsters have evolved slightly over the years, and the current generation provide a slightly wider wing to ensure the holster (1) stays upright in larger pockets and (2) catches on the inside of the pocket when drawing so only the gun comes out. Some rigs have the bad habit of staying on the gun when drawn.

While I like the Super Fly, it is a little too thick for my tastes. However, it does offer some nice features that the Nemesis lacks. First of all, it is covered in a rubber-like material that really grips the inside of the pocket. Where the Nemesis does a very good job of staying in the pocket during a draw, the Super Fly is absolutely reliable.

The Super Fly also comes with a removable concealment panel. This panel can be used to cover one side of the gun giving it an appearance of a wallet when carried in a pocket.

If you are not familiar with the Streamlight TLR-6, it is a combination light and laser unit that is available for a range of small framed pistols including the Glock 42, Glock 43 and Smith & Wesson Shield. Because of its compact size, the TLR-6 doesn’t throw as bright a beam as some of the larger weapon lights, but it provides more than enough for finding and identifying a target. I’ve tested two of these – one on a G43 and another on a Shield, and found both of them to be very good – especially for their size.
