New Daniel Defense DDM4V11 in 300 BLK

Daniel Defense announced another new rifle recently, this time in 300 BLK. Well, I suppose it might be more accurate to rephrase that: the company reworked an existing rifle to chamber the popular .30-caliber cartridge.

The DDM4V11 is an existing rifle line, with a range of variants that now includes the 300 BLK. The guns have the standard look and feel of a DD rifle from the company’s buttstock to the bronze Cerakote finish. Unloaded, the guns weigh 6.75 pounds with a S2W profile 16″ barrel and 15″ KeyMod handguard.

Daniel Defense enjoys a good reputation in the shooting world. The company’s attention to detail when building rifles seems higher than many of its competitors. These rifles have a suggested retail price of $1,759 and include a hand plastic, impact resistant rifle case.

Interestingly, the 300 BLK continues to receive a lot of support from gun makers and the supporting manufacturers. As many of you know, there is little that has to be done to convert a 5.56 NATO chambered AR-15 to run the 300 BLK. This makes it easy for shooters and manufacturers to convert a rifle to the newer round. With heavy subsonic rounds easily available, in addition to supersonic ones, the caliber appeals to a wide range of people including hunters and suppressor enthusiasts.
