10th Anniversary Taurus Judge

Judge 10 2

Andrew of GY6 vids got his hands on a 10th Anniversary Taurus Judge. It is a great looking revolver with the wood grip and laser engravings.

The hanging chickens is a bit disturbing. However the slow motion of the propane tank was pretty cool.

The high speed camera captured an impressive looking fireball when Andrew shot this chicken with a slug round.

Ill keep it in mind if im ever attacked by a gang of meth addled chickens.

Why does chicken cross the road? Here are the ones that didn’t

  • AC97

An engraved Taurus Judge? Yeah… no.

    Lipstick on a pig, anyone?

  • Will

Good looking firearm but so is my 1911 and I’m VERY fond of my 1911.

    • Xtorin O’hern

and they both launch .45 caliber projectiles, and your 1911 no doubt does it more efficiently.

  • Russ Kell

I don’t always shoot chickens at point-blank range, but when I do, it is with The Judge.

    😉

  • Hoplopfheil

Actually, I like it. You can get similar grips for the Model 85, though the UltraLite version requires some gunsmithing.

  • ozzallos .

TFB has a strange fascination with the judge. I mean, expand your horizons. There’s also the S&W Govenor that fires 410/45lc -and- 45acp.

I actually want the Raging Judge Magnum. It is so comically large, I feel like it is somewhat like Hellboy’s Samaritan.

  • Anomanom

    That’s… actually nice looking.

  • iksnilol

    I dunno…

    Engraving = classy
    Taurus Judge = not classy

putting those together doesn’t seem classy to me.

    • Swarf

      It’s half classy.

      Ok, it’s assy.

    • M.M.D.C.

Actual engraving can be classy. Laser engraved, cut and paste, generic swirls… not so much.

      • iksnilol

Yeah… but if I am using a Taurus I am not being classy. Don’t get me wrong, their revolvers are good and cheap but in no way classy.

  • Vizzini

That engraving would look better on any number of fine revolvers that aren’t gimmicky junk for credulous rubes.

  • Did they ever make Judges with, say, 6″ barrels, so they’d be kindasortsa effective for anything other than snakes and goofin’ around on the range?

  • Sasquatch

I don’t know why people give this gun such crap for. Sure Taurus has some not so great q.c. problems but they actually didn’t do a bad job on the judge. I have shot one and like it.

I have a Raging Judge (Magnum), and in this world of black polymer cookie cutter automatics filling up the ranges, I get more comments/questions on it than I do my Baby Desert Eagle. It’s absolutely a blast to shoot; never killed a frozen chicken with it, however…

Having read *The Forever War* by Joe Haldeman, I’d always imagined a weapon like this is what the main character bought and carried upon returning to Earth. And I should be eager to get one.

But it’s a Taurus product. And I really, really, really don’t want to waste my money on something that might catastrophically fail.

Speaking from the comfort of my armchair; the Judge has always struck me as the perfect firearm, provided perfect is defined as being able to shoot .410 shotgun cartridges from a handgun . . .
