Vortex Optics is renowned for its excellent warranty. They posted up this short video to illustrate an example of their no hassle warranty.

Our VIP warranty is about you, not us. It’s about taking care of you after the sale.

VIP stands for a Very Important Promise to you, our customer. We will repair or replace your Vortex product in the event it becomes damaged or defective—at no charge to you. If we cannot repair your product, we will replace it with a product in perfect working order of equal or better physical condition.

You see, it doesn’t matter how it happened, whose fault it was, or where you purchased it. You can count on the VIP Warranty for all Vortex Optics riflescopes, prism scopes, red dots, rangefinders, binoculars, spotting scopes, tripods, and monoculars.

    Great to see a company do this. I’m considering offering the same warranty. If you build a good product considering the typical abuse it receives you will still come ahead in the end.

      You offer that kind of a warranty you have my business.I don’t have 100s of guns but I do have a few that need holsters. Multiply that buy the other like me and I’m willing to bet you have a good size number!

        I’m going to work on changing my policies tonight. I make product that lasts and if someone can break it without intentionally damaging it they deserve it. If someone is shooting or dry firing enough they they can wear out a holster after 5 or 10 years they are an asset to society and deserve it. A replacement holster that is.

      I have a few holsters built by a guy local to me that offers a “lifetime” warranty: He’ll warranty them as long as he’s alive and able to build new ones.

    Vortex has phenomenal customer support. I contacted them to ask if there was a way to make closing my lens caps easier. They were very stiff. Without hesitation he asked for my address and sent me out a new set of flip up lens caps. No questions, didn’t ask for the old ones or ask for any money. I now have 3 Vortex reddots and a scope.

    Second that. First viper let 4-16 had a spiderweb glare that reflected back with the illumination, replacement I don’t even remember what was wrong but they told me to send it in anyways to get checked out. They sent me a brand new scope that remains on the rifle to this day.

    I can verify that they stand behind their warranty. I broke a older Gen1 red dot by dropping it (several times, totally my fault), sent it in and they sent me a brand new in the sealed box Gen2 back no questions asked.
    Most of my new scope purchases are now Vortex.

    Vortex may not always have the solution I’m looking for, but I will always look at them to see what they have because of this warranty. I’ve only had to use it once, but they had a new item in my hands very very quickly.

    I was at a range day a few months ago where manufacturers could show off their wares. One of the guys demoing silencers was explaining that they have a warranty very much like this. (Sorry, I don’t know which company or the details of the warranty.) The customer he was explaining it to said, “So the warranty covers stupidity.” The rep laughed and agreed.

    Vortex is my go to glass company of choice. Had a Vortex StrikeFire red dot on my turkey shotgun strapped to some Kolpin gun mounts on my ATV. One rubber strap broke and as I was turning right my shotgun went sliding out to my left. It did damage my Strike Fire and shotgun. Strike Fire replaced under Vortex’s VIP warranty while my shotgun got cerakoted to hide road rash and stock replaced. I sent my StrikeFire in on a Monday afternoon, got a courtesy call Wed and a new one in my mailbox Saturday. Because of their customer service I’ve expanded and added 3 Vipers series to my collection and saving up for a Razor HD II.
