Oh ho! I like this Information guy, and he’s a general! Can’t wait for his next article.

  • Major Tom

At the risk of making my Spam box a little less dead, I’m in.

  • Joseph Goins

    Look, ma! It’s Massachusetts approved!!!

    • Blake

The irony is, so is this scary Mossberg monstrosity:
      http://www.mossberg.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/41026-catalog.jpg
(I find it far more scary than the supposedly scary “black rifles” it emulates; this thing looks like the Robocop or Darth Vader of leverguns 🙂

      • David Harmon

That Mossy has a sort of Mad Max vibe to it.

        • Anonymoose

          Mad Bubba vibe.

          • David Harmon

I’d mount it in my truck.

      • rick0857

NOW THAT IS ONE BAD AZZ BACKYARD BURNING BARREL!

        • carlcasino

Gotta have my eyes checked. though it was my Brother in Law.

      • Bill

I really wish that Mossberg would do a .357 or .45LC version of their…thing.

        • Paul White

I’d take one with a picatinny up top in .44 mag, full 20″ barrel with 10+1 capacity plz

          • Tassiebush

Agree on the picatinny, it’s like the one tacticool thing that would actually be useful is left off!

          • Paul White

I like the adjustable stock myself…that, a flashlight and a red dot in 357 or 44 and whammo, prefectly fine house gun/fun gun

          • Tassiebush

Fair point. All practical features I guess and I very much agree about the chamberings!

  • Limonata

Pretty much like playing the Lotto, I know I will never win but it is fun to play — LOL!

    • carlcasino

I pass through a Lotto state once a month and the last time I bought one ticket the seller had that WTF look and I told him only one number can win.

  • Stan

“Giveaway ends on July 31, 2016”

“Sweepstakes ends 8/31/2016. Read the Full Rules”

So when does this end exactly? After the winner is chosen the week of August 1st? This sounds like the not-so-Democratic Primary process we just witnessed haha

  • Porty1119

Count me in…and out of the social media bonus aspect, since I wouldn’t touch that crap with a M91/30-turned-spear. Either caliber is fine by me here, since I plan on acquiring multiple leverguns in each!

    • Marcus D.

No social media for me either! I won’t touch those sites with someone else’s ten foot pole. I am in the process of acquiring my first lever gun, a Winchester Repeating Arms 1892 rifle in .45 Colt.

    • Paul White

I have neither, would love either

  • GaryOlson

Will my other leverguns get jealous since they can’t play in the rain?

  • UPDATE: The giveaway ends August 31. Sorry about the confusion.

    • rick0857

Then WHY can’t we get in on it?

      • carlcasino

Getting all the clicks possible before a photo Is awarded to the winner?

  • David Harmon

Not signing up to facebook for it.

  • MrFN

Alright, I’m in. If I win the .45-70, I’m turning it into the Medicine Stick.

    • iksnilol

But the Medicine Stick has a normal loading system.

      • MrFN

I know, can’t have everything. Close enough for me to get a new rear sight, stock set, and dream catcher leather stock wrap.

  • Sarig

    “US Citizens Only”

Oh well. Not like I was just sitting on a valid import firearms permission or anything:/

  • Christian Hedegaard-Schou

I’m having my friends click the referral link above, but it’s not registering or showing me the extra entries. Is that intended, or is something broken?

  • Ned Weatherby

    Love those lever guns…

  • JT Wise

No social media here either. Henry, please note there are many that feel the same.

    • rick0857

Yeah like most sensible people who own firearms. The government already knows every gun purchased and by whom since 1994, why advertise that you still have them?

  • Mike Lashewitz

Thank you for providing a “how to enter”,
But DO YOU THINK you could also also add a “WHERE TO ENTER” as well?
The links provided do not take you to any location mentioning a “giveaway”.
I went to the manufacturer as well as every Henry FB page and could not find anything about this ‘give away’.

    • Gary

I agree. The entry mechanism is out to lunch…

  • MadDog

Might want to update the date in the official rules too…Still says August 1, 2016…

  • rick0857

Giveaway ENDS August 31, 2016 and yet today is August 2, 2016 and it will not take any entries from me! SO WHICH IS IT, DOES THIS END 8-31-2016 OR HAS IT ALREADY ENDED? SHOULD THIS ACTUALLY SAY ENDS JULY 31, 2016?

  • carlcasino

The Henry octagon barrel with Brass Receiver in 45LC is on my bucket list. According to statistics I have a couple years left, So when I win anyone interested in trading can contact me.

  • hingedthinker

Uh, it says “The winners will be chosen the week of August 1st.” Did you mean to say, “September 1st.?”

  • Nobody Inparticular

what is this “facebook” you speak of?

  • John L.

Just went to pick up a Henry Big Boy with the aluminum-bronze receivet in .44 Magnum the other day. I was so excited … been saving for this for a while.

And… Broken right out of the box. It would not go into battery, gritty and “lumpy” lever. I had ordered it via Davidson’s through my LGS. I declined delivery, and just got a call that Davidson’s is shipping another one and it should be in next week.

I guess everyone can make the occasional lemon. But after hearing raves about Henry quality, well, this is disappointing to say the least. Plus the inspection tag indicating that 2-3 people had done the “loaded” test – running the lever” at Henry and apparently didn’t notice anything amiss. And another 2-hour round trip to the LGS -taking off time from work to do so – isn’t great either.

Sorry for the complaining. Just really disappointed.

    • Humpy

I have looked over several Henry’s and wasn’t at all impressed with their fit and function, I wouldn’t waste my money on one.

      • Matt Wilder

I’d like to blame it on being based in NJ, but being my former home state, it’s a miracle they’re allowed to make them there at all, so I can’t trash talk officially. Oh, heck, sure I can….

  • wetcorps

    something something loading gate

  • HenryV

Henry please can we have a Big Boy steel with a pistol grip stock? Thanks in advance.

    • Matt Wilder

Why would you want a pistol grip stock on a traditional lever action? Wouldn’t that hinder the proper operation of the lever a little bit by causing you to have to reach even further from a shooting grip to a cocking grip? Legitimate question, I promise.

  • edjcox

Love to have a lever action rifle.

  • carlcasino

My Bucket list has a Henry in 45 LC or the Eagle Scout Memorial. I was taught to respect my elders, it’s getting harder every year.

  • Frank Martin

Well I realized I got in too late..

Oh well.. been thinking about buying a Henry down the road.

  • Nice

  • Brad Nims

I REALLY want the .45-70 but I would be ecstatic to win the .30-30. It would be utterly fantastic to for one of these to be my first lever action!

  • rennsport4.4TV8

It says it ends on the 31st and the winner will be picked on the 1st of August. I assume it is supposed to say Sept. 1st, right?

    • Inline5Turbo

Yeah, they should fix that like how they fixed the end date.

  • Matt Wilder

My brother had a .30-.30 Stevens lever action that belonged to our grandfather that he used to tote around the woods with him around my grandparents place in PA when we were kids. Several months before my grandfather auctioned off his rifles before moving to GA a couple of years ago, and after my brother asked about buying it, my uncle swooped in and sold it to one of his buddies for $200 before confirming it with anyone else. I don’t think my brother will ever forgive my d-bag, womanizing, uncle for that, but my grandfather let it slide. So, if I win the .30-30, I’ll give it to my brother for Christmas when he comes down to visit. Might still look for one for him anyway, even though I don’t have that much extra I can spend this year.

  • JRCrum

Not sure where to enter my email, hopefully this is it!
    Great looking rifles…

  • Pb B

The notice states “The winner will be chosen the week of August 1st”. I did not go to public school so I realize that the week of August 1st HAS PASSED. Does anybody proof these things??????????

  • Coinball

I can always make room for another Henry.

  • JMR

So the giveaway ends August 31st, but the winners are chosen August 1st.

Well at least your honest about this being rigged.

  • Anyone know why the giveaway link for referrals doesn’t go to the giveaway itself?

  • Ms. Kaiti Kelly

Definitely NOT into FaceCrap or StutterBug (Twitter), I can only shoot one gun at a time, so IF (?) I get a choice? I would rather have the 30-30 caliber. However, if there is no choice and all that is available is that hunk of a buffalo caliber 45-70gov.? Well then I’ll be most grateful for God blessing my vault with that Wyoming grizzly slayer. Ouch! My shoulder! Does anyone know if there’s a Kevlar recoil shoulder pad to keep me from dislocating my shoulder should I settle for such a monstrous caliber??? After all I’m just a ole girl who has to fight the arthritis in my joints. I sure hope I win that 30-30!?

  • Christopher Rieger

Does it not show your buns entries? It only says I have 1 entry.

  • Christopher Rieger

    Bonus not buns

  • elkhunt

    OK
