Final Approach, one of the Vista Outdoor companies, released three new hunting packs this year for waterfowl hunters. Each of the three was designed with a specific purpose in mind and is described below.
The Final Approach Hunting Pack is a backpack style tote made of 800 denier material. The pack has two large compartments plus a front accessory compartment and side pouches. The pack can be had in either Realtree Max-5 or Mossy Oak Blades camo patterns.
The shoulder straps and back are vented for improved airflow, and a combination of sternum strap and waist belt helps improve comfort for a long walk into your blind.
Final Approach included a tree hook for hanging the pack off the ground and waterproofed the bottom for when you have to set it on the wet ground. It has a waterproof pocket for a cell phone. The company also included a zip out gun sling in the pack. The MSRP is $88.45.
Timber Shoulder Bag
This bag is designed for “run-and-gun” waterfowl hunters. It is a squared off bag with a cross shoulder strap designed to be accessible while on the move. It has a large main compartment, waterproof lid and multiple shotgun shell loops on the exterior.
Like the Hunting Pack, it is also available in Realtree Max-5 and Mossy Oak Blades. This bag retails for $49.95.
Floating Medium Blind Bag
The Floating Medium Blind Bag offers a very large main compartment with a removable divider, side accessory pockets and a waterproof cell phone pocket. The lid is storm proof and the bottom is water proof.
It is also available in the same two camo patterns and carries a suggested retail of $88.45.
