POTD: BOPE Trains For Rio Olympics

Big thanks to Ronaldo Olive for sending this picture in to us.

the attached photo taken last week at the famous Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro, site of the equally famous Christ, the Redeemer statue in the course of a pre-Olympic training exercise being carried out by members of the Military Police BOPE – Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais. The armed guys have an ArmaLite AR-10 SuperSASS and a Colt M16A2 Commando carbine (fitted with an EOTech sight, vertical foregrip, and tactical flashlight) with a K9 handler, member of the BAC – Batalhão de Ações com Cães (Dog Actions Battalion) crouching behind.

Im not familiar with the Armalite AR-10 SASS but the other gun looks like an M4 not a M16A2. The guy with the K9 has a Go Pro above his goggles. I wonder why he didnt use the curved adhesive helmet mount and mount the GoPro on his helmet? Maybe he is not allowed. But with the GoPro there it compromises the helmet.
