Magpul Teases Sub-Compact 12 Rd. GL9 Glock Magazine

Magpul…. you tease. Released on their website without much of an ado are details on the upcoming sub-compact magazine for 9mm Glock handguns. Dubbed the PMAG12 GL 9, the magazine is ready-made for the Glock 26 handgun, adding an additional two rounds of capacity.

The +2 comes with a catch – the magazines are indeed longer than the standard-capacity 10 round Glock 26 offering. However, Magpul does not put the added space to waste, instead molding in a finger-groove and an excellent depressions on the side of the magazine for easy grip and rip if the situation would ever call for it.

The magazine maintains all the standard Magpul GL 9 series enhancements including the paint dot matrix for magazine identification, tiny windows to indicate full-load (though some, including myself, argue that Glock’s rear-facing primer pockets are a better system), and all-polymer construction. The magazines are Generation 4 compatible for the generation’s reversible magazine release button. Finally, the magazines use the same standard floor-plates (including compatibility with the GL -“L-Plate”), but the finer groove is not removable.

The only color listed is black. Pricing is set at $15.95 with availability as “Late 2016”.
