Wilson Combat Ultralight Carry Professional 1911

Wilson Combat announced a new high end 1911 handgun designed with concealed carry in mind. Say hello to the Ultralight Carry Professional.

Available in both 9mm and .45 ACP, the new gun uses an aluminum frame to help drop ounces off of the total package weight. In fact, the company states the frame is 60% lighter than a comparable steel frame yet is durable enough for “extensive practice time at the range.” Unloaded the gun weighs just under 29 ounces.

Keeping to the lightweight and easy to conceal design inspiration, the company went with a 4″ fluted barrel and carbon steel slide. Wilson Combat uses a match grade cone barrel with a flush cut reverse crown on it. With quality ammo, the company guarantees these guns will shoot 1.5″ at 25 yards straight out of the box.

For grips, the company went with its G10 Starburst grips that are affixed with Torx screws. The slide stop is countersunk, and Wilson Combat selected the Tactical Bullet Proof thumb safety – left side only. A Concealment Bullet Proof grip safety and hammer were matched with the Bullet Proof magazine release.

The front strap has 30 LPI checkering with a round butt frame. The slide has 40 LPI serrations at the back of the slide with 30 LPI serrations along the top. The front sight is a fiber optic while the rear sight is a Battlesight.
