New Range Accessory: Tipton Transporter Range Vise

For those who pack everything for the range including the kitchen sink comes what could be argued as a range “kitchen sink.” Battenfeld Technologies, Inc.,  a division of Smith and Wesson, has announced the release of their Tipton Transporter Range Vise. As its name implies it is a range vise; and more than it implies, a table-mountable range bag to handle any number of range necessities.

The Range Vise mounts to any table through a pair of screw clamps up to 3 & 5/8″ thickness. Its construction allows the carry of up to 40 lbs, plenty for ammunition, spare firearms, or tools. When not on the range, the Transporter function comes to the fore, with handles available and buckles to close up the bag with all accessories inside.

For those enjoying the outdoors, the Vise includes a beverage holder and for those having to exercise their field gunsmith, a pair of gun mounts.

Per Tipton, it has the following features:

  • · Disassemble to make a nice carry bag
  • · 3 integrated pockets great for holding pistols
  • · Durable bag measuring 9″ x 20″ x 9″
  • · 2 removable forks to rest a firearm for cleaning
  • · Heavy duty, dual side release buckles
  • · Molded side barrel slots to rest up to 3 long guns
  • · Non-marring surfaces

The Tipton Transporter Range Vise is available through any Battenfeld dealer. Retail is set at $69.99, but knowing Battenfeld products, expect street pricing to be lower.

This thing really needs a mesh net that utilizes those two slots and acts as a brass catcher that funnels your brass into that bag. I would order one today if it had that functionality.
