Sven of Manticore Arms has some exciting new upgrades for the CZ Scorpion Evo 3, CZ Bren, and AKs.

First off he is making a transformer rail compatible handguard for the AK.

Manticore is also making a folding buffer tube for AR stocks. The folder is designed to accommodate a side rail on an AK.

With the CZ Scorpion Evo 3, Sven has designed a sliding stock and a Transformer Rail compatible free floating handguard.

Manticore Arms also made a sliding stock for the CZ Bren and a MLOK hanguard to replace the bottom of the Bren handguard.

It would be great if the links in the article actually led to something having to do in the article instead of just trying to sell you stuff that is sometimes completely unrelated to the topic at hand.

Yeah, it’s always irritating to click the hyperlinked words that I think will lead to something useful only to get something random. This is the sort of thing that makes people use adblock.

Anyway, Manticore always makes neat stuff.

    • Nicholas C

I wish I could control that but I can’t. I dont put those in there. Typically I try to make it obvious when I add a hyperlink in my articles.

Still better than the porn site quality ads between articles on TTAG.

  • Dracon1201

Sven always makes quality. Can’t wait for the scorp parts.

    • Machinegunnertim

Would have been nice if he had made VZ58 parts. Members on the CZ forum were asked what parts they’d like to see, and then… nothing happened.

      • Dracon1201

R&D takes a lot of time and money. Sven can’t do everything, unfortunately. I’m sure it wasn’t for lack of trying.

      • MrPotatoHead

The simple answer was a lot of folks balked at paying for what amounted to small batch, near custom VZ parts. Most were VZ2008 owners who’d just paid $400 for a rifle and didn’t want to spend $300 for a replacement stock. I can see both sides in that one. It’s a shame, because Manticore makes great products. I have several of Sven’s parts in a handful of my guns. Unfortunately, he wasn’t willing to give the shop a way in order to accommodate a pretty small market. Can’t say I blame him.

        • Machinegunnertim

I get that, but all i wanted was an affordable U.S. made tactical bolt catch and ambi mag release and possibly an improved longer handguard. I consider Manticore Arms able to pull that off unless the batch run ends up being extremely small.

          • MrPotatoHead

There’s a guy on the CZ forum that will modify your existing bolt catch and mag release for a very reasonable price. Goes by Forced March. His work is top notch.

          • Machinegunnertim

Thanks a bunch, I’ll have to contact him. I’m working on my own modernization mods to the gun, I’ll be posting a thread as soon as I wrap up a few things. Keep an eye out.

I would like to upgrade an EVO carbine by making it my property, but none seem to be available.

  • Fargo007 .

    Bravo.

    Manticore continues absolutely killing it.

I found them for their AUG charging handle. The designs are excellent and very well thought through.

They also have amazing velocity between concept and finished product.

    • Rick5555

I noticed that too with Manticore Arms. The seem to have a concept that literally comes to fruition (as a finished product), in a year. Or usually in less than a year. Sven continues to bang out quality products, that are reasonably priced too. If the company continues along this business model. I expect them to be around for a very long time. Also, another innovative company that follows in Manticore’s foot steps. Is Strike Industries. The make some excellent stuff too and prices are quite reasonable too.

They should make metal magazines (or at least polymer magazines with steel-reinforced feed lips) for the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 since that’s the only thing keeping me from buying one. What’s the point of buying a CZ Scorpion EVO 3 if the magazine lips crack after being stored loaded for a few months?

  • Harry’s Holsters

The M Lok hand guard doesn’t look as good as the factory one but it will be more functional.
