HatsanUSA’s BullBoss

    HatsanUSA

HatsanUSA announced a new bullpup style air rifle for the United States market. It is called the BullBoss.

The BullBoss uses a pre-charged pneumatic system with a side cocking mechanism. The 255cc air cylinder is detachable, is rated for 2,900 psi and has a built in pressure gauge. The system has a quick fill nozzle and air cylinder discharge cap.

Rotary magazines insert toward the rear of the stock, just forward of the adjustable cheek piece. These air guns can be had in one of three different calibers: .177, .22 and .25. Both the .177 and the .22 use ten round magazines, while the .25 caliber gun uses a nine round mag.

Maximum velocities range from 970 fps to 1,070 fps depending on caliber. HatsanUSA estimates the max velocity of the .25 caliber pellet at 970 fps, while both the .177 and .22 should top out at about 1,070 fps.

HatsanUSA uses a two stage Quattro trigger in this rifle.

The company added a sound suppression system in this gun. Called the QuietEnergy Technology, this proprietary system is said to muffle noise by about 50%.

A Picatinny optics rail allows for the easy addition of a scope. A second Picatinny rail is included along the bottom of the fore end. This would allow for the addition of a bipod or other accessory.

The suggested retail price for these air rifles is $799.99.
