  • Patriot Gunner

That’s the new Costa move. Tactical cart provided by Kroger.

  • Justin Roney

That is pretty ingenious. Attach some steel plates to it, and you’ve got yourself a decent urban mobile heavy gun mount carrying lots of ammo. Make the steel wide enough, you could add a push bar, and a friend with an AK on either side to help you move it.

Until someone with an RPG ruins your day.

    • TVOrZ6dw

Just fill the cart with sand bags.

      • mrdakka

gonna need a lot of sandbags; at least a meter thick

      • Well, the sandbags would help with the “recoil driving you backwards” problem.

Of course, they won’t help with the “recoil peeling the welds apart so the cart spontaneously self-dissassembles” problem.

This is, after all, a gun firing a cartridge with slightly more recoil impulse, from a lighter gun, at a slightly higher ROF than an M2HB .50.

Gonna get real sporty when he opens fire.

Until you reach a curb, or any other obstacle higher than an inch or so.

    • Laionidas

Maybe someone should petition LIDL, to release a tracked version of their most popular model. There’s no other reason this setup should be limited to an urban environment. If it becomes too heavy too push, some minor modifications to a lawnmower engine might fix it.

  • Matt

Dude could mount AR500 plates around that cart & make it all kinds of Mad Max badass!

    • Pistolero

He just needs to upgrade the wheels too and he’d be in business.

  • flyingburgers

Actually, you can’t carry _that_ much ammo in a shopping cart. Evidence: watched stockboy at Wal-Mart bend one.

  • Vhyrus

This should be how we buy guns in America, not how they shoot them in Syria.

  • PK

I needed a good laugh today, thanks for that!

  • iksnilol

I am surprised how well the cart handles the recoil.

    • PK

The DShK has surprisingly low recoil if you haven’t used a HMG before, it bounces more than pushes back. The M2HB is very similar, the weight of either system just tends to nail them in place for the most part. Put them on a tripod or wheels and have an operator holding them in place as well, and they are rock solid.

That’s one reason both of these systems have been used, and well loved, for so many years now.

      • Xanderbach

I dunno- Our HMMWVs used to rock back and forth like mad when we fired the M2. Surprisingly, the MK19 wasn’t remotely as bad.

      • Watch what happens when he fires two rounds, as opposed to singles. He’s got a slightly higher recoil impulse, from a lighter gun, at higher ROF. A two round burst proved uncontrollable.

Now look at the angle of the caster wheels – they are exhibiting deformation.

I suspect before too terribly long, the cart collapses in a heap as multiple spot welds fail at pretty much the same time.

    So shopping in Chicago?

    • Major Tom

      And Los Angeles.

Only when you want the latest sneakers the day after thanksgiving.

  • LANCE

    Shopping malls in Syria!

  • Bill

Can’t carry ammo or you’d be disqualified for the 10 items or less express lane.

I’d like one of these for those damn self-service checkout lanes: if I’m paying full price I want Tiffany and Ferd to do the cashier and bagging thing.

  • john huscio

Remind me to try this in a Sam’s club parking lot.

  • BattleshipGrey

If I tried that I’d end up with one that has a stuck wheel.

    • Major Tom

I’d get the one with the squeaky crooked wheel.

  • Koh

    I wish walmart sold those!

And I’ll bet its still got a bad wheel.

    • Gecko9mm

I wish we could hear the audio of the stuck wheel making that scraping noise.

  • Mk.56T

    Now that’s a mobile tripod…
or quadpod? Since it has four legs.
    lol

  • wetcorps

And when you need to retreat, just hop in he cart and ride it using the recoil of the machine gun for propulsion.
    What could possibly go wrong?

  • livingonenergydrinks

Terrible idea, all your brass would fall right through the basket, jamming up one of the wheels. This cart needs Tactical improvements to help with brass recovery. Also the child Seat should be made of level 4 Armor plate.

    • Nicholas C

Perhaps he is using as a ladder sight? LOL

  • Fruitbat44

The mind boggles; it really does.

  • TJbrena

I do NOT envy the guy who has to go around collecting loose carts. I bet those Daeshbags are the type of people who leave them in parking spaces when the cart corral is only 40 feet away.

    • mbrd

yeah, and with spent links trashing the lot…
