New Blackhawk CCW Holster

Just days ahead of the National Rifle Association’s Annual Meetings, Blackhawk announced a new concealed carry holster that offers a variety of ways it can be worn. It is called the Leather Tuckable Pancake Holster.

The new Leather Tuckable Pancake Holster is a hybrid design that matches a leather backer to an injection molded shell that holds the pistol in place. The backer has three belt slots that allow the rig to be worn as a traditional outside the waistband belt slide holster. Since there are three slots, the rig can be worn with a neutral cant (straight up draw) or with a forward cant on the strong side.

Reversing the rig and using the cant will allow the owner to carry a pistol cross draw. Some people who spend a lot of time in a car prefer the comfort and accessibility that a cross draw rig offers.

The rig also comes with belt clips. These clips attach to the backer and allow the owner to use the holster inside the waistband. Due to the design of the clips, a shirt can be tucked in over the top of the gun. There are three different attachment points for each clip. This allows the user to adjust both ride height and cant.

Blackhawk will initially make these holsters for the S&W M&P, S&W Shield, Ruger SP101, Taurus 85 and Kahr 9mm and .40 S&W pistols. The suggested retail price on these holsters is $86.95.
