Comedians Shooting Machine Guns – Ballistic Comedy

For those not paying attention to the behind the scene’s happenings with Hickock45, his son, Big John, has been working to establish himself as a stand-up comedian. While I would argue that John should be a sit-down comedian for everyone that has to crank their head up to see him, it seems he’s good and getting better at it.

Continuing that theme and taking inspiration from Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” series, Big John has started his own ballistic version: “Comedians Shooting Machine Guns”. So, rather than see fancy cars, one will see fun guns. I approve.

The first two episodes are now live for anyone wanting to crack up at the antics of Big John’s guests including the very funny Joe Kelley. Basically, the videos are Big John with a bunch of merry men having fun in a car and around guns. Think road trips with your best buddies.

But, its not all just gunpowder and wise-cracks. John has woven into the videos some time on the various weapons that they are shooting, if only as a segway to teach the comedians the function of the guns they have been shooting. In the video with Joe (Episode 2), the focus is on a Thompson sub-machine gun.

Always check out Hickok45’s channel for great gun videos and those interested in the extracirricular activites of John and gang, check out John’s channel HIckok45andSon.

Interesting. I only watched #1 so far. Even though it wasn’t gut-busting funny, it was enjoyable to see people being brought into the light in a safe and light hearted atmosphere.

Annnd it’s official – I’m now the last person in Nashville to not have his own reality TV show.

There’s other ways to get Nashville street cred. You can always grow a hipster stache, throw on some skinny jeans, and open your own hot chicken restaurant somewhere off of Shelby Ave.

    F*** California…

Nathan: John Hickok makes me want to PUKE.

You only “want” to? I need to start working harder then.

Their standup routines were painfully lame; but at least it was cool to see some Thompson submachine gun footage.

I feel bad for Hickok22.5… Knowing he will likely always be overshadowed by the full house Hickok45. Maybe he could embrace it and take over when the Elder decides to hang up his pistols on the show?
