Browning added 28 gauge and .410 bore versions of the Citori 725 shotguns to its 2016 catalog. A total of eight new models join the 12 and 20 gauge offerings.

Citori 725 Sporting

Four new versions of the 725 Sporting model are now being offered: two in 28 gauge, two in .410 bore. All four models follow the same general form and characteristics of the existing Citori 725 shotguns: over under guns gloss oil finished walnut stocks. These guns have a standard rib with a green fiber optic front sight.

Both the 28 gauge and .410 bore models can be had with 30″ or 32″ barrels. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $3,199 for any of the gauge and barrel length combinations. The price reflects a $60 premium on these guns when compared to identically equipped 12 and 20 gauge models.

Citori 725 Field

Like the Sporting models, the Field models are nearly identical to their bigger bore counterparts. These shotguns match an engraved, silver-nitride finished receiver to a gloss oil finish walnut wood stock. The stock has a close radius pistol grip for comfort and control while an Inflex recoil pad helps to ease the gun’s recoil.

These guns can also be had with a choice in barrel lengths: 26″ or 28″. The pricing remains the same for either caliber and barrel length: $2,539. As with the Sporting models, these new gauges are more expensive than their 12 and 20 gauge brethren by $70.
