CZ805 BREN Field Strip

The CZ805 BREN pistols are the importable versions of the new Czech assault rifle. They don’t seem to be getting much love here in the States yet, but in this field strip we hope to showcase what makes these guns unique.

  • Deltervees

The video transcript is from the Trump video, not this one.

  • “It’s impressively light”

You just about made Diet Coke shoot out my nose, thanks.

  • James

Along with Deltervees, wanted CZ805 transcript, not Trumped carry script.

  • TheMaskedMan

One of these days I’ll cave in and buy a high-dollar modern piston rifle, but so far I’m leaning towards the MSBS.

    • BattleshipGrey

Good things come to those that wait. 🙂

  • ChierDuChien

People should think twice about buying any expensive military-style firearms until after the election. You might have to turn them in and be happy with a $500/Buy-Back Refund under Hillary’s Australian-Style Gun Control.

    • Oh yes, we will all willingly hand them over.

      • Yeah. Bullet first.

      • Ryfyle

You mean a heinous mess of slam fire shotguns? The easiest 500$ ever made.

      • iksnilol

Just like you kept your unregistered MGs?

        • I have never owned an unregistered MG.

          • iksnilol

            You’re kinda missing my point.

People are like “we won’t turn them in” then when they find an unregistered MG in their attic they immediately ask how to get rid of it without trouble or destroying the item.

          • FarmerB

Yeah, I’m with you – in the end most people will gladly turn them in, esp. if there is a few bucks in it. You really want to face 14 years jail for firearms possession? And in the jurisdiction where I was brought up, they are proposing to pay $10,000 rewards to people who report people with illegal firearms. This will make people so scared of getting caught they’ll basically keep them inaccessible (buried in woods).

          • iksnilol

Better inaccessible than turned in though.

Glad you understood my point 🙂

    • KestrelBike

      I will gladly accept $500 for my henry arms 22lr AR-7 never-feed/FTE baby-killing swamp-monster assault destroyer.

      • Ryfyle

or you can do what plenty other folks have done, throw in some cheap Zip-guns and make off with a huge profit.

      • Y-man

You forgot to mention that it has “that shoulder thing that goes up…”

    • Kelly Jackson

      1. Nobody is going to turn in their guns, New York couldn’t even get people to register them. 2. Clinton is worthless without congress

    • tts

Stop making stuff up and scaremongering.

I’m so tired of that crap.

Clinton hasn’t even suggested anything close to this and even if she wanted to do that there is no way Congress would allow it. Her gun control platform has been public for months and is a easy google away. There is some seriously dumb stuff and some sorta reasonable stuff in it but either which way little to none of it will be implemented since Congress will likely block it all just because Clinton wants it.

Even if the Dems sweep the Senate (unlikely but not impossible) it is virtually impossible they’ll get control of the HoR this coming election. In 2018 they’ll likely lose some seats in the HoR and might lose control, assuming they gain it this election in 2016, of the Senate again. In 2020 maaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyybbbbeee the Dems got a decent chance to take the HoR and Senate at the same due to demographics/voter shift trends.

That is the earliest likely time period you’ll see serious gun control legislation be able to make it through Congress. 2024 is more likely but even then not assured. Silver and some other guys have done great research on polling and demographic trends on this subject so this isn’t just me making stuff up or blowing smoke but is also not set in stone either. Another major recession or some other international crisis (ie. war) could change things quite a bit.

      • FarmerB

That’s what the Australians thought when they elected a conservative govt in 1996, and we know how that turned out.

    • ozzallos .

Why would I wait until after the election when they would be completely unavailable, theoretically speaking?

    • David

I’d have a hell of a boating accident.

    • Zachary marrs

Sweet! I cant wait to get $500 for some of my guns!

Now i just need that black folding stock for my marlin 60….

  • mechamaster

Somehow it’s interesting to do “fast-fieldstrip challenge” between
    CZ-805, G36, and B&T APC-556.
Who is the most user friendly and simple. Lol.

  • Lance

    Maintenance is very AR180ish.

  • MrEllis

I have zero use for the carbine version of this. I will be getting the carbine version of this. Thanks for the post, update us on the SBR when you have it running, please!

  • Bessy

Remember SBR’s and other NFA items don’t need to be 922r compliant.

    • SGT Fish

      That’s debatable

  • Tyler Norona

I have both the A1 and A2 full autos and they are two of my favorites. The action is so smooth. It is comparable to a freshly oiled LWRC Reaper.

  • Richard Lutz

An amazing number of parts to lose during a field strip. Who in their right mind would buy this overpriced POS over a GP WASR-10 HI-CAP?
