Even Coozies Now “Tactical”…

m12tacticoozy1a

I am surprised how often I am surprised when something benign is tacti-cooled and in this case, its even a pun! MTEK, a company I have not heard of before, is offering the M12 Tacticoozy. Designed for field choice beverage, the Tacticoozy even has a ejector strap for “instant discarding of empties.”

Talk about a tactical reload…

It has everything a gear nerd would want (and thus everything I would want – I know, its ironic I lament on new tacticool things and yet yearn for each new one). Designed for 16 oz “Tall Boys”, the Tacticoozy is manufactured from 1000D Cordura to “stand up to the ugliest social situations”. From there, a 6mm neoprene liner keeps the contents at the original temperatures, despite the operator’s operation. A Duraflex keeps all this tactical-ness contained.

The Tacticoozy is MOLLE / PALS compatible requiring three rows for solid mounting, ideal considering most AR series magazines require the same. Its currently available in multi-cam only, so Marines you are out of luck (ironic, as a Marine, I would see this as the highest consumer of choice beverage branch of service).

For those needing the Tacticoozy to keep their beverages cold, or for actual tactical purposes as an auto ejector would be handy for thermal and other grenades, they are available directly from MTEK for $24.99

Free market at work. Must be a lot of mall ninjas out there or they plan on making their living off of gag gifts for service members and gun owners (which is more likely).

  • Vhyrus

Does it hold bottles? I could really use a bandolier for my molo….I mean, uh, my delicious imported adult beverages.

    • iksnilol

Especially so you can down the bread from those bread baskets 😉

    • Anonymoose

      750ml or 12oz?

  • Tiru Maru

Holy Crap. I thought that was $25 for the six of them..
They are $25 each……. Are you out of your frickin mind???
    I’ll gladly pass…… : /

    • Smedley54

      But, but – Tactical!

    • Budogunner

A fool and his money are soon parted…

  • Surfgun

None for 12 oz’s? How often do I have 16 oz cans? 1/24th of the time? I have 12 oz’s all the time!

    • Edeco

That much of a problem that the tops of 12’s wouldn’t stick out? Sizing for 16’s makes sense to me, like an AR mag pouch that will hold 40 rounders or 30’s.

      Anyway too silly/expensive for me.

      • JSmath

Edeco, we are talking about tactical coozies here, man, be more serious.

If the tops don’t stick up, he won’t be able to reach them for quick tactical reloads to keep his beverages on tap. He’s going to need… a CanPul. BRB.

    • insertjjs

If these take off. I’m sure that magpul will get involved and develop 12oz ranger plates. Until then duct tape and paracord for miller time.

      • DrewN

Ranger plates crack me up. How they are better than .005 cents worth of 550 is beyond me.

  • Sianmink

    Would use to operate operationally.

  • Roy G Bunting

Waiting the year for cheap knockoff in a myriad of colors.

  • Ike

I’m actually surprised you haven’t heard of MTEK before Nathan. They do ballistic and bump helmets, but their main business is ballistic mandible armor for entry teams and mounted vehicle applications.

This is one of theirs, from the early days of OEF/OIF. This pic is pretty much how most people know of MTEK.

  • Smedley54

Just when I thought we had reached peak tactical…

    • Dan

Tactical jock straps been done yet? Tactical testical harness

      • Smedley54

        Thanks for that mental image.

      • Paul White

        are they MOLLE?

  • USMC03Vet

This should be standard issue. Patrol break? Time for a Coke and a smile.

  • Drunk Possum

Can I be the hipster of gun owners and have one of these “ironically”? I swear… I don’t like it, I just one one for the irony….

  • Anonymoose

    But is it insulated?

  • itsmefool

Wow…$189 without the handle? Plus I have to hand wash it? It’s now confirmed: I’m not a real operator!

  • Ron Fox

    Tacticola

  • RickOAA .

That makes me wanna drop a tactical deus on it.

  • antiliberalcryptonite

    Hmmmmmm…..$25!??! $6 maybe, $25 – HéII No!

  • James Kelly

I have a Tactical Electric Toothbrush, in camo!
