ExtraCarry Concealed Carry Mag Pouch

Simple lightweight minimalist designs seem to be pretty popular these days, one of the first being the Versacarry holsters released a few years ago. Minimalist designs aren’t always a good thing, remember the Bungee Holster? Seriously it’s a thing.

I stumbled upon another simple minimalist design geared towards those who conceal carry. The folks from ExtraCarry recently released their new line of concealed carry magazine pouches. Their new mag pouches are lightweight and ambidextrous and features a pocket clip, slide it into your pocket and it looks just like a pocket knife clipped onto your pants. ExtraCarry aren’t the first to come up with a pocket mag carrier design, last year NeoMag debuted their magnetic pocket clip mag holders. They don’t work with all magazines however, and it allowed rounds to be exposed in your pocket. The ExtraCarry mag holder doesn’t leave rounds exposed protecting them from dirt and debris.

ExtraCarry’s new concealed carry mag pouches are made in the USA and retail starting at $50. They’re currently available for the 1911 (7 and 8 round), Colt Government 380, Colt Mustang 380, Glock 17/22, Glock 19/23, Glock 26/27/33, Glock 36, Glock 42 and 43, Keltec 3AT, Remington Rm390, Ruger LCP, S&W M&P Shield 40 and 9mm,  S&W M&P Bodyguard 380, Sig Sauer P238, Springfield XD(m) 45 and 9mm and the Springfield XD-S 45 and 9mm. Check them out at extracarry.com.

    $50? I think not!

  • SCW

    $50-$55 for a piece of plastic, a screw, and a pocket clip…

I think you’re out of your mind.

    • Jeremy Star

Logged in to say the same thing, lol. Kydex and spring steel do not cost that much.

      • Varix

        b-b-but…labor cost

        • Jeremy Star

Don’t get me wrong, the idea is good, but the price is crap. And if they set up logically they can bang out 50 of these an hour with one person.

I’ve purchased nice leather magazine holders for cheaper than $50, and you can’t mass produce those in an oven.

I use a leather knife pouch that I picked up used for $1 at a fun show. It holds a Glock 17 magazine like it was made for it.

      Fun shows are awesome!

      • SCW

        Yeah! They’re so….FUN!

  • MichaelinPA

Great idea, terrible tacticool gucci price!

I’m a big fan of the SneakyPete Plan B mag holsters. Look like a leatherman tool on your belt, hiding in plain sight….

    • zippiest

      That might work!

  • Jeremy Star

I’ve seen some people out and about with those. It’s VERY obvious you have a spare magazine clipped at the opening of your pocket. Like, I could read the magazine brand on two of the ones that I saw.

Snag mag came up with this idea a couple years ago, plus they are almost $20 cheaper. I use one with my G26 and luv it. Sorry Extra Carry your a lil late to the party, luv the idea but not much different from the SnagMag I’m already using.

    • Justin Roney

Exactly, I’ve been using a Snagmag holder for my extended PM9 magazine for quite a while now and it’s great.

  • zippiest

I want iwb that clips over my belt, so I don’t have any mishaps during reload. Is that too much to ask for?

  • Joe

Just pointing out that you could print one off very easily and toss on any spare pocket clips you have from knives you don’t carry anymore. I might see if I can’t rattle off a design and print one for my XDS (9).
