ATN’s New Smart HD Optics Accessories

Power Weapon Kit

American Technologies Network Corp (aka ATN) makes a range of night vision optics for the consumer market. One of its most popular lines is the HD series of rifle scopes that range in price from $599 – $699. These day and night scopes offer two magnification ranges: 3-14x and 5-20x. Additionally, the scopes track information such as elevation and range, plus video recording capabilities.

To further expand the capabilities of these scopes, ATN announced two new products in what may grow to be an impressive line of HD scope accessories. The first is a long range illuminator while the second is an external power pack.

IR850 Pro

The ARN IR850 Pro infrared illuminator acts as a high intensity flashlight in the infrared spectrum. This gives the HD rifle scopes better images at longer distances in the dark. According to the company the illuminator gives the shooter an effective 300 meter range. It is powered by an 18650 battery that ships with the light. Also included is a battery charger and a rifle mount for the illuminator. The suggested retail price on this unit is $149.

For longer hunts, the ATN Power Weapon Kit might be of interest. This is essentially an external battery that has a storage capacity of 16,000 mAh. According to ATN, this battery will run the scope for 22 continuous hours. The MSRP is $99 – actual prices should be less. Yes, there are battery packs that can be purchased for less on Amazon, but this unit is water resistant and comes with an adjustable pouch that mounts to the buttstock of the rifle. It uses an included USB to MicroUSB cable for charging.

ATN also makes higher priced scopes like the ThOR for specialized applications and consumer priced binoculars.

Seems like at one point a lot of companies sold IR lasers/lights to military/LE only….?

    • I think that is largely because governments have deep pockets. Marketing to the people with an unlimited checking account makes sense when selling a $10k night vision/thermal optic.

Do any of these accessories automatically photoshop daytime images into fake NV?

Are the optics still like looking through urine filled coke bottles and will it automatically generate fake NV and thermal images?
