TriStar Expands Over/Under “Setter” Shotgun Line to Smaller Gauges

TriStar, known for their imported Turkish-made shotguns, has announced the expansion of their Over/Under shotgun line with offerings for smaller gauges. Originally released only in 12 Gauge, the Setter brand of shotguns is now available in both .410 and 28 Gauge.

The new gauges include the same features that has made the Setter brand value for its price. Those include a solid frame for strength, a sealed action to keep debris out, chrome-lined barrels (a rare sight for shotguns), adjusting locking bolts (for long-term usage), fiber optic front sights, and nicely checkered wood furniture.

The two are dedicated new frames, unlike other down-chamberings in the market. Doing so allows the shotguns to get to excellent weight for their class. The .410 clocks in a light 6.2 lbs, unloaded with the 28 gauge coming in only a pound heavier at 7.2.

The Setter S/T .410 and 28 Gauge shotguns come complete with 3 inch chambers and no less than 5 Beretta/Benelli mobile-style choke tubes, making the over-under hunting ready. Included chokes consist of skeet, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified, and full.

All TriStar shotguns include a 5 year warranty. MSRP for both weapons is set at $565.00. The Setter S/T’s round out an impressive line-up of Turkish firearms.

We’ve had the chance to shoot and review the TriStar T-120 CZ Clone and found it good value for the money, if lacking compared to its CZ inspiration.
